QUETTA: At least six militants, including their commander, were killed during a security forces' operation in Dera Bugti district of Balochistan on Sunday.

Sources in Frontier Corps told Dawn.com that forces conducted an operation in Sui town of Dera Bugti, adding that six armed militants, including a Farari (fugitive) commander, were killed during the three-hour long operation.

FC personnel also recovered 30 kilograms of explosives in additiion to other heavy weaponry from the spot.

The killing was preceded by an intense exchange of fire between security forces and armed militants.

FC sources claimed that militants were involved in a series of bomb explosions and blowing up gas pipelines in Dera Bugti, the country's resource-rich district.

QUETTA: Frontier Corps arrested twelve suspected militants from the Murgha Kibzai area of Balochistan on Sunday.

Sources in FC said a large quantity of arms and ammunition were recovered from the militants possession. They said three foreigners were also among the twelve suspected militants arrested by frontier corps.

The forces acted on a tip off that miscreants were planning terrorists activities in Murgha Kibzai area of Zhob district.

The FC did not face any tough resistance on the part of militants. The militants had come from the country's volatile tribal belt to carry out terrorists acts inside Balochistan.

All the militants under custody have been shifted to an undisclosed location.

Senior security officers were interrogating the militants. The Pakistani Taliban have carried out terrorists activities in the area and kidnapped aid workers and officials.

I am sure they should keep the Balochistan border with IRAN, Afghanistan and coast secure firstly as well as increase the number of Police men which will be local and having 25% of the total Police force would be women of Balochistan.
