The USA designated PKK as a terrorist organization along with EU and UN.

But interestingly Europe is main money source for PKK. Drug traffic, illegal money collect etc. And EU is not doing anything about it. They even let them work freely.

PKK's Syrian branch YPG changed its name to SDF ( Syrian Democratic Forces ) by American generals due to make it easier to legalise their actions before international public.

+ They got thousand of trucks weapons from the USA.

Now that self exiled BLA leader would be running like a headless chicken because no European country would allow them to stay on their soil anymore.

Perhaps today's action against the BLA was due to Pakistani diplomatic efforts. But that doesn't mean the Pakistani officials involved wanted to take credit for it. Or maybe the State Dept. just didn't want to admit that Pakistan had anything to do with it. These things can be brain-twisters. My point was that one can't necessarily judge the effectiveness of a diplomat by the accolades publicly accorded to him or her.

Designation of Balochistan Liberation Army by the US Administration as Specially Designated Global Terrorist (SDGT)

We have taken note of the designation by the U.S. Administration of the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) as Specially Designated Global Terrorist (SDGT).

BLA remains a proscribed entity in Pakistan since 2006 and in recent times has carried out several terrorist attacks in the country.

It is hoped that this designation will ensure that BLA’s space to operate is minimized.

It is important that the perpetrators, organizers, financers and external sponsors including those glorifying these acts of terror against Pakistan are held accountable and brought to justice.

To be honest, the sudden shocker has lot more to do with Afghanistan peace process and on other hand, the another key word could be Iran. These kind of rats been enjoying a lot of hospitality of Afghanistan and then used Iranian border areas for hiding. Strategical games can backfire and certain neighbors have to see it coming now.

The United States on Tuesday designated militants fighting Pakistani rule in Balochistan as terrorists after it carried out deadly attacks targeting Chinese interests.

The US State Department said it was classifying the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) as a global terrorist group, making it a crime for anyone in the US to assist the militants and freezing any US assets they may have.

The banned BLA “is an armed group that targets security forces and civilians, mainly in Baloch areas of Pakistan,” the State Department said in its designation.

The security forces have been fighting terrorists in Balochistan since 2004, with the militants recently finding a new focus in rallying against China's investment that is part of its major Belt and Road initiative.

The BLA has targeted Chinese nationals in Pakistan multiple times, including a brazen daylight attack on the Chinese consulate in Karachi that killed four people in November 2018.

In May, five people including a soldier were killed after gunmen stormed the only five-star hotel in Gwadar, the port city which Islamabad is hoping to develop into a major commercial hub.

Claiming responsibility for the hotel attack, the BLA warned China to stop its “exploitative projects in Balochistan” and threatened further attacks.

The US designation of the group comes despite vocal concerns by Washington over the Belt and Road initiative, with Washington accusing China of imposing debt traps on developing nations.

Later in the day, the Foreign Office (FO) issued a statement, taking note of the designation by the US administration.

"It is hoped that this designation will ensure that BLA’s space to operate is minimised," the statement read.

The FO pointed out that the BLA has been a proscribed entity in Pakistan since 2006.

Isnt a hot Iran-pakistan border in favor of Iran's enemies? Unless these are after all, Iran's puppets.

Just the matter of time and strategy as how one wants to execute plans. Pakistan has already defeated the hot border strategy by kicking out TTP and hunting BLA type rats. May be game is turned towards hunting in safe heavens or at least prove and blame. Think in more broader aspects.
