Left has only got 60 seats now, their highest ever. They have their bastion set in WB and Kerala. They have realistically no chance of getting a 110+ seats. I expect them to loose the 60+ seats they have got this time, especially from kerala. where people are unhappy with the LDF rule

I agree totally that Communists are anti communalist than any other party in India. But they coming to power will have serious repurcassions on the economic front, Prakash his Wife Brinda, Sitaram are all nut cases, staunch protectionist view holders. To compare with them to the Communist ruling China is utterly wrong.

The only thing common between two is the name. Nothing that China does today is communist.

Guys you serious need to rethink about whom you going to choose? A few years back i never heard an indian saying or even thinkig about being a world power. It is this government that has made india a stable nation in terms of economy and you guys chat about being a world power. BJP only has oneajenda that is to destroy pakistan, since that is not possible then why to waste your vote?

I am no fan of the BJP, but I am a fan of facts.

As far as Baghdadi is concerned

If BJP was indeed bent on destroying Pakistan, it is very surprising that the Prime Minister AB Vajpayee of the BJP should be the first Indian to start serious dialogue with Pakistan for a better understanding. He even went to Lahore to talk when all were against it! And today, Indians and Pakistanis are crossing the border without hassles legally,. If that is not good for a wonderful relationship, then what is?

Much that one would loathe to give the BJP the credit, but still history indicates that they have done more for good relations with Pakistan than any other.

The fact that I wish Pakistan the very best is but a fallout of excellent progress that the CBM has done on a people to people contact. I would with great eagerness love to visit Pakistan and meet you all and have the Murree beer (though you will have to watch) and see the excellent progress made by Pakistan since I visited Karachi as a very small child.

So, desist from stereotypes!

As far as Mr Baghdadi is concerned, he sports a Bangladeshi flag, but speaks only of Pakistan, it indicates his sad state where he feels Bangladesh is not good enough for the "Cause' (whatever that be!) and instead Pakistan is! One wonders, what is he doing in Bangladesh when his heart is with Pakistan!

Though I will admit, he has contributed immensely to my learning of the Quaran, even though mostly out of context and forced!

I dont know jack about indian politics and frankly dont care all that much. From my point of view if the BJP comes to power this will further raise communal violence in india. Which will further help in the fracturing of indian society. This will eventually come into national politics and fracture india in geography too

Radicals are placed everywere, inevery society and religion, you may also call them fanatics and yet they are treated as radicals and not linked to any religion but unfourtanely when it comes to radical who is a muslim then instead blaming the radical, the religion is blamed, muslims are blamed, the holy Quran is blamed and this is done by the people who consider islam and muslims as their enemy and they want to do everything in their power to harm the religion.

Playing the victim card again, is what we are seeing in Lal Masjid and Iraq shia/sunni bombing preptrated by western forces or India. Muslims as a society has to evolve.

Nothing is beyond any blame when it comes to the west. They have the right to call anything that they feel good to say good and bad to what they think is bad.

Other countries, nations dont do things according to the wishes of the west, they have thier own ways to follow and as long as this blame game will continue, muslims deprived of thier basic rights and humilated and destroyed by countries like isreal, there cannot be peace in the region or for that matter the world and the gap will continue to grow between the west and muslim nations.
