Song, 053H2 system's power unscientific design has lead to a lot of problems, lack of motivation system reliability, risk control system on board has many limitations, hull design uncertainty , very easy to crash punctured the hull or water leaks.

Thailand has to resort to the intervention of the Swedish company to save 2 ships this escape early retirement. At the same time, weapons systems, electronic equipment of China comes dismantled. It can be said of the Chinese warship in the Thai army is a body without a soul.

Thailand has approved spending $ 1 billion to supplement warships, but the military did think of weapons of European, U.S. instead of cheap Chinese goods. Lesson 2 ships with missile defense is protection enough.

Model ships Giang Ho II has led many countries to Chinese arms startled at risk of losing money brought disease.

you can use google translate, but you can't google this ship?

These ships were sold in the 90s. The Chinese military industry were not even in its infancy at that time, at that time it was more like out of the womb, but not cut the cord.

You need to dig out articles like this and ships that are currently in coast guards? Why not bring up some articles on more recent Chinese weapon sales and see how the reactions were.

Funny, you google trans a Viet site Vietnamese language to English to describe China made Thailand weapons??? baodatviet.vn

In Viet's eye, Viet is the surper in Southeast Asia;
by the way, PLAAN has 3 053H2, 535 536 537, in which 535 536 retired in Apr 4th 2013, only 537 was updata in 2006, they are the same old with Thailand 053, 25years old

Bangkok to talk frigate purchase with Beijing
The government has formed a committee to negotiate with a Chinese team on purchase of three frigates to enhance Thai’s naval strength in the resourceful Gulf of Thailand, officials said. Both the sides will work out details of the state-to-state frigate purchase agreement the groundwork of which was laid during the visit of Prime Minister Wen Jiabao to Thailand in November 2012.

This is what happens if one buys cheap quality chinese products. :lol:

Be it pakistan railways junk chinese locomotives, sri lanka's ill powered chinese power plant, ghana's low quality chinese power plant, Bangladesh's trainer aircraft the list is endless. :omghaha:

Its almost sad how dumb you are with your endless Indianism against other people. Just to let you know, majority of components you are using on your computer to spew your f!lth on these forums are made in China. Your much famed Ipod/ Iphone/Ipad are majorly Chinese products and an American brand name to elevate the price.

No wonder witless people like your self with no real backing to claims always find themselves least credible and in teh Pink.

It's really getting less and less fun arguing the same point here......

Thai navy can order from anyone, just because they ordered Chinese before, doesn't mean they have to keep doing it. Pakistan use to order a lot of American equipment, did we past the Americans because they started to order from us....

Besides, we also have to build for ourselves, we are launching new ships all the time, and we have outstanding orders from all corners of the world. It's not like our ship yards are just there laying people off. We can't build too many ships at once.

The ships were commissioned in the early 90s, design from the 80s. Also the latter two ships had the Germans involved, with western engines.

Early retirement is relative. We retire ships faster than they do, and the Americans retire ships faster than we do.

One other point is that me saying old, is not so much the ship is old, but that the Chinese ship building techniques and any technology related ventures at that time were not good enough.

Chinese naval building power really came into our own in the past decade or so, and it is still not up to American or at this point British/French/German standard yet.

@Indian members

you guys are about to take over the title of cheap manufacturing nation, you sure you want to make fun of cheaply made products?

Also as to things failing, even the Americans have this problem. Anyone can make mistakes and anyone can be careless at the wrong time.

Wow! That really sucks! But then it's made in China after all! :lol:

In the 90's when these ships were made, the Chinese hadn't mastered the art of copying then. They've improved on it now! Their reverse engineering and copying skills has improved by leaps and bounds since then! :lol:

May be, nerely no India or other countries members know vietnamese language, eccept he is vietnamese

not may be, but he is. Vietnamese guys flooding here and there with other national flags because they want Chinese and none-Chinese members like Indian, Russian to misunderstand each others. so, don't be trapped by them. I am thinking whether they got paid for that or not.

Stop writing stories.. Lets talk point to point..
a) The article says "Thailand planning to buy Western equipment because it is disappointed by chinese product". Please read it.
b) Early retirement: when a country buy one product (Defense equipment) they plan its retirement age. Usually product last more than planned retirement age, only rich country replace there product before retirement. In this case chinese product didn't last long enough to serve them.
c) Chinese Ships are better now: Who cares, They have been cheated once, they don't want to be cheated again (if there wallet allow). Or they will go for tough negotiation this time. (may pay half what one frigate cost, assuming that the chinese frigate may last for half of time expected)... :P

Pakistan Navy purchased 4 F-22P Frigates from China and is so pleased with what they received that they are considering to purchase 4 more of the same..:china::china::pakistan::pakistan:

I am sure Pakistan is pleased with them. Just a question, what other non chinese makes did you evaluate it against before buying, and how did the chinese one win over others?
