Bimaru states make India poorer than Pakistan, says World Bank report

You don't need to believe me at all. You only need to believe in survey and if they are saying they are using outdated data then obvious point is that you are fooling yourself if you draw wrong conclusion from it. Simple.

No, you are fooling yourself because the outdated data is not even a decade old so I won't consider it outdated but the latest one. In countries economics, it requires years to success not days at least not in this world.

And how do you draw the line at one decade?

BTW, the data is about 7-8 years old.

Yes, it takes years but 7-8 years are indeed a lot. In 2011 Indian GDP was 1.77 trillion dollars (in inflation adjusted 2010 dollars) and now it is 2.7 trillion dollars (in inflation adjusted 2010 dollars). That is about 60% more.

Also noteworthy is the trend in reduction of poverty :

https://data.worldbank.org/indicator/SI.POV.DDAY?locations=IN

2004 : 38.2 % poors (1.90 USD constant PPP as the line)
2009 : 31.1 %
2011 : 21.2 %

with this kind of trend 7-8 years is a MASSIVE time period.

Its clear who is fooling himself. Provide hard data or admit you have nothing to support your argument.

It’s noteworthy that successive governments from 2004 are monitoring and working towards the Poverty upliftment programmes and in coming years new governments will give more emphasis on social upliftments.

BIMARU states are considered poor and backward states in India and points must be noted is there was a regime changes in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar which fought on development and in 2019 we have General & Local elections in all the other mentioned BIMARU states and like electorate brought right rulers in Bihar other states will give more stress towards better governance and development programmes and eventually by 2024 we will have a massive changes in rural areas.

Above report which states India the most poorer country is already hard data and is compiled by World Bank while you're presenting figures of GDP growth and saying that in 7-8 years you would have reduced 21% poverty?? Are you kidding me?? And where does this report says its 7-8 years old?

Do you even know what it takes to reduce 1% poverty?

*Ahem* from 2004 to 2009 Poverty dropped by 7% ie from 38 % to 31 %(
https://data.worldbank.org/indicator/SI.POV.DDAY?locations=IN
) : Its based on world bank data only

From 2009 to 2011 by 10% from 31% to 21% (
https://data.worldbank.org/indicator/SI.POV.DDAY?locations=IN
) Again refer to the same world bank data.

I wonder why it cann't fall by say 10% from 2011 to 2018. So more appropriate poverty head count will be 8-10% currently. And I know way way way more than how and why poverty falls than you -- someone who cann't even look up world bank data directly.

So Criteria is Pakistan? A country seven times smaller in population and 3 times smaller in area.

Do you think that poverty drops only in India not in other countries??? You know more than me??? As of now you're living on assuming while I believe the figures provided by World Bank. It is straight and simple India possess the most number of poor in the world.

https://www.governancenow.com/news/...as-world-largest-number-poor-world-bank-study

Just to make you understand ignorant

:lol:You are two years late. India is not. The poverty reduction is so fast that, within 2 years that will be even less than any country in the region at the current rate.

and than you will wake up and your dream will end lol

I think its not funny or good for sub-continent as whole we need to get rid of all type of poverty in our part of world.

for that we need to live in harmony, trade and travel, which is impossible while India is in sub continent.
