Beijing lays claim to South Korean waters

Meh. Hysterical headline.

Britain gave away entire islands, Chagos Islands, which were inhabited by people without consulting the locals to United States so Uncle Sam can build military bases on them. I never once saw any hysterical headlines in any British papers.

Why do you still deny Viets like to rob Chinese islands?

Vietnam set up first official administration on Paracels and Spratly, without troubles with China from many hundred year ago. Your ancestor had recognized there is Jiaozhi (Vietnam) Ocean.

There was Jiaozhi Ocean, but at that time, Jiaozhi was one small part of Han empire. Vietnam got independence hundreds years later, the ocean name is only a customary call.

The reasons why China cannot enforce her claims in Yellow sea is like what she did in SCS, is the other claimants had deterrence factor. Militarily and economically, both of them had a considerable strength. Besides, Japan and ROK is major non NATO US allies. China can't afford open hostilities acts against the two for now.

Things is more complicated than you think. North East Asia is much stable and safe than South East Asia, because China, USA, Russia, Japan and Korea are all there. Agent war is impossible, any of a nation is stronger than Southeast nations.

No.

Jiaozhi ocean is stated in the map in 15th century, when Vietnam regained independence from China in 10th century. In old map of China is also stated in Chinese where is Jiaozhi border.

I knocked on their graves and they said you are lying, case closed.

China KMT claimed in 1947 illegally with nine dashed line. It is big lie. China will be loser in arbitration un der UNCLOS with Philippine, kid.

They are a British overseas territory.. We relocated them back then since we knew that building a military base there with locals still living there wouldn't be conducive/appropriate for them due to the inconveniences like noise, pollution, constant patrols/exercises and most of all the threat that poses for the people since the island will be a legitimate target in case of conflict etc etc.
Anyway that was in the 60s-70s. Today thinks are better and such things will never happen again. We just have to move on and learn from the past.

Britain "relocated" natives of Chagos Island from their homes, against their will, and then dumped them on the ports of Mauritius with no food or a home. And no one told Mauritius about the "relocation" project or asked their permission. Its very thoughtful of you to say that "we just have to move on" because your home and way of life wasn't stolen by a random decision.

Oh and in 2001, we saw a war started on the premise of a lie. So such things will continue to happen.

As i said, you must note that back then ewe were living in cold war period with the soviet Union threat which was very much present among Brits So yes we often had to make harsh decisions in this regard for security reasons. For example during the 70s-80s we operated over 50 frigates and destroyers due to the ever present soviet/communist threat, today we barely operate half of that amount after many cuts by our leaders/politicians and even public since they all know we face no real threat whatsoever in our neighborhood, as we are a secure power.Reason even the warships/equipments we are building is mostly for deployment overseas to protect our interests abroad, reason there is so much pressure from public and some politicians for us to cut our defence spending/manpower even more than we have already. However, little do they know that we live in an uncertain world and threats conflicts can erupt anywhere at anytime like we saw in Ukraine/Crimea and Russia recent aggression/provocations into European(and even Britain's) airspace/waters. Hopefully this swill continue so our public/delusional politicians can wake up from their slumber caused by a very peaceful era. lol

What i am trying to say by all these is that yes our decision back then might seem harsh today but you have to consider the era in which we lived and the formidable threats we faced. So i will say yes it was harsh but justified. moreover it also helped the locals avoid any inconvenience caused by a large military base/aircraft/naval warships and the threat that posed to the island. So we have to always put things into perspective.:pop:

I wonder when the chinese start drawing some funny dash lines close to korean coast and declare all waters and islands are theirs since ancient times? nobody can´t prove it anyway. if the koreans protest, chinese can send oil rigs, warships and warplanes. problem is solved, isn´t it?

so china and korea is negotiating a contested area, and suddenly its "oh no chinese imperialism" what a bunch of idiots. modern PRC's claims has never in its entire history, expanded, it has only contracted though bilateral negotiations. but hey dont let facts stop your ignorance.
