This is my 11th year in PDF. I have witnessed many ups and downs here. Members in PDF come from all sorts of backgrounds. One of the notable things that many of the members have in common is nicknames or pseudonyms due to privacy reasons. Very few of us really post our resume in PDF showing what we really do or achieved in our real life, let alone our real public names. This is all good for protecting our privacy. Our primary focus is to discuss a topic keeping personal credentials out of the way.

Let us not engage in unnecessary ad hominem attacks, calling someone kids while that person could be your boss or father figure. Appeal to authority is a logical fallacy which we all should avoid. It is important to keep in mind that you do not know for sure who you are talking to. Let us focus on the statements instead of the person. This is the logical way of getting engaged in a healthy discussion. Be respectful in order to be respected. We are not here for a superiority competition which we have enough in the real life.

We Pakistanis believe that the behavior of a person represents the family of that person's origin. Sometimes many generations are needed to correct some bad behaving families even though their finances got improved.

how can they blame young generation when young generation is nowhere close to power quarters or where decisions are made and how retirement age gets pushed further and further while youth is on the street unemployed eve teasing Hoors?

the average age of ministers and parliamentarians must be around 55 or something.

Intolerant is the word which can best describe many Pakistani's - NOT ALL (not generalizing everyone).

I am relatively new to PDF but so far during my stay here, I came to the realization that many posters dont respect their fellow members opinion and are always busy in cheap point scoring. Its okay to have difference of opinion, but it doesnt give one license to start mudslinging towards others.

Also, sorry to say but some posters dont possess any courtesy whatsoever and jump guns at others in an instance.

People need to learn how to tolerate, respect and accept others opinions.
