Begging vs Charity

ٰYou don't get it. It is more of a scholastic discussion... may I say not really your cup of tea sir. Go and sleep insomniac chacha jee.... return once you have a good night's sleep. May Allah guide you..

Ajeeb hi philosophy hy :what::unsure:

.
I come across three very old men in my area on regular basis ........ one carries a bag full of stuff searched and picked from garbage, the second one carries a big dish (thaali type) full of coconuts or sweets and walks miles to sell those, the third is near blind with that motay motay sheeshay wali ainak and sells small books ...... all three of them are old, poor and walk miles with load just to earn and not beg ......... it is not really necessary for me to pay the price these people ask for whatever they are selling, I can always add to it ......... believe me the surprised look on their faces and that smile of relief ..... will give you loads of satisfaction .... nothing better. Similarly it is not necessary for me to pay the mochi little money for his work ..... I can always gross it up with extra thank you money (if you wouldn't have taken this job most of us mediocre would suffer). All such people are genuinely unparh but they are not baygairat and are contributing to economy no matter how little but their absence would matter.
Obviously ..
If they find a work then it's awesome but if someone couldn't then there's nothing wrong in giving them charity and doubt their intentions
.
Once I was in bazar , and I saw an old man selling somr toffees and was hobbling , when a person gave him some money ., he was very grateful nd told his problems that he' was so depressed and worried for zakaat since three days ., no one's buying my things and I'm very grateful u gave me zakaat . People should give in the way of Allah swt , it's only Allah who provides mercy in your heart nd pave way for such depressed people .

Absolutely.

Also there is nothing wrong in sharing money even with people who work, always put yourself in their situation and think one day it could be me facing all these hardships.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There is one problem with habitual beggars though, they never listen to "Ubi totay huay paisay nai hain" argument and keep knocking at your vehicle's glass and door .......... after all I am a human and sometimes it is very annoying.

The ones who curse .......... well they are definitely actors and fraudsters. As a poster already said here the needy person won't mind even you pay him as little as 50 paisa.

The fraudsters by the way keep inventing new tricks, the latest I have witnessed is English announcements and begging commentary after Friday prayer in a mosque full of people ranging from molvi to liberal and professional to laborer.

Some are funny as hell ..
Such begger kid was asking 4 charity .. sadaaen de rha tha ." Sadaqa de do, Allah ap k rizq me izafa kr de ga m Allah apko tarqi de ga " some one taunted him , " Agr nahi dia to kya bad dua do gae " .. The begger replied him in full tarka english as " Just shut up , mind your own business ".

It was not for you... your post got added with mistake. It was for our mushkil pasand troll chacha... His philosophy is too complicated for humans to understand.

Chacha G ki philosophy bhi ajeeb hi hy phr. waqai

This is a reason why Pakistan is considered a third world country.

People are being forced to beg and those who are the haves and have-nots of the society are debating who merits charity.

Ironical oxymoronic thread.

Khud kay paas kese araha ha kabhi socha nahi or jinke paas hai nahi uski roti cheen lo.

Why was the question not put like

" Why would a Pakistani beg while mega corruption scandals are in hundreds of billions of dollars "

Koi Sharam nahi hoti
Koi haya nahi hoti

Are sharam and haya mere phonetics?

You are such a nice guy, yet sometimes, you are so difficult. Why?

I am not a nice guy my friend. I am just like everyone else. Not right in the head.

It pains me when the haves and the have nots of the society think twice about charity and consider the beggars as sub humans when we are not sure about ourselves how halal is our earnings.

Although not a fan of Imran Khan, this venture no doubt has been a blessing for the common man. I personally have spoken to a pediatric oncologist who worked there, and it is a reputable institution, that actually does what it claims.

Same goes for NAML institute started by IK that provides quality education to deserving students regardless of their background. Most of the students are studying free of cost and they receive genuinely British accredited university degree. Many people don't know that IK was the chancellor of the Bradford University for quite a few years.

Sir, I don't consider the have nots as sub-humans. I try myself to do as much of charity as I can and I should increase it but the question is that there a lot of fraudsters. I'm busy in office right now but I will tell you those scammers tried to scam me in the name of the charity.

Everybody gets scammed in every step of the way. Not a big deal.
Pakistanis get scammed in the name of democracy. Has anyone protested against Democracy?
NO !!

Useless to discuss charity as it is done for Allah not for people.

.
First and foremost, people begging on the streetis the failure of the state. Zakat is supposed to be the method by which this kind of poverty is avoided but the state has no interest in that. Private individuals and organisations try thier best but the demand is too high.

It is better to provide money to institutes that support the poor rather than to street beggars.

In my experience the street beggars i've given money to in the past have been organised professional beggars, i even caught one signalling to a colleague how much i'd given her and her colleague then persued me for money.

If you do give money to people on the street, give it to the ill, the weak, children - don't give fit and healthy grown men money from begging. They should work for it - there is no shortage of work, even for labourers.
