I am looking for new baby names "Muslim names" preferably from Quran. I had created a similar thread in 2013 and those days the name "Hashir" was selected but the following short-list from the previous thread helped choose another name "Ayaan" for another baby in the relatives.

Now one of my relative asking for suggestions so I would be interested to know unique names which I could present to him. Here is a short list of previous thread I had created...

My second in command is Arbaaz Khan.

Third is Junaid.

Fourth is Zain (Zain ul abideen)..

This is a Punjabi kid so Sher Khan won't fit

Got couple of friends and neighbours called "Zain". So I would avoid that even though I like it a lot... Arbaaz is great but very popular name and I am short-listing the name that is unique, attractive and less popular but trendy in 2015.

Why what's wrong with Sher Khan bro ? You can name him Sher Alam or something similiar ?

so may be two brothers with similar name...?

Father's name is "Sami" but you will not find many names with ideal matching name with father. It doesn't matter as long as the name is good...

That is why they were in my short list previously... but those names may not be considered at this time I think as I know we had a talk about it last time... I am not his father so the final decision does not rest with me...

I hate that naming convention... why people do that, it robs kids of their individuality.. older relatives cant be bothered to remember exact name, call you by your brother's name, its annoying.
