Man, they are working now. Oil refineries building or rebuilding them would have taken years if they were heavily damaged.

damaged by NATO, and 35% Libyan oil goes to France for free, why? to repay the NATO attacks on Libya, they destroyed Libya and now asking for money and oil?

. . .

Either you are a kid or soo dump. France oil companies were granted and preferred to produce 34% of Libyan oil which means they produce the oil and take an agreed percent of the revenues. And that what is going in most oil countries. It's not for free.

France

Before the uprising, France relied on Libya for 16% of its oil. Although not as close knit as Italy, France's relationship to Libya was equally tabloid-centered during the Gaddafi era. Sarkozy departed from previous French presidents by publicly endorsing Gaddafi during state visits, while peddling French military technology to the dictator. Unlike in Italy, this enraged the French electorate who saw in Sarkozy - the first French ruler since Napoleon not of Frankish descent - an egomaniac, aspiring dictator betraying the core French principles of promoting freedom and democracy worldwide. As a result of his apparent closeness with Gaddafi, Sarkozy's popularity plummeted.

But then the tide changed. When the Libyan uprising began (and likely before then) Sarkozy saw an opportunity to please his electorate with a military victory over Libya and ordered air strikes in retaliation for attacks on civilians by Gaddafi's troops, even stepping in front of the US to lead NATO into the conflict. Soon after, France became the first nation to recognize the NTC (National Transitional Council) as official Libyan ruling government. Following France's cooperation with the rebel movement, both politically and militarily, France was awarded the lion's share of Libya's oil. A French opposition newspaper published a copy of a secret contract between Libya's NTC and the French government guaranteeing 35% of Libya's new oil contracts to France.

You are so naive to believe that France will pay for oil, why do you think France led the NATO invasion? for OIL, hahah you think France cares about democracy and Libyans, all they want is OIL, even if they paid for the oil they will pay almost nothing because they stole it, and if they sponsor projects that mean Libya doesnt know what its producing and this way companies will steal what they want, you so childish, :disagree:

oh does the contract say how much money will France pay Libya?

I know, you have nothing to prove anymore, you lost you cry about Golan, and we found out you love to lie making claims about Syria agreeing to destroy Libya, which in reality Syria along with Algeria opposed the AL intervention and NATO intervention on Libya, and now we know how naive you are

Syria was once a wonderful country. My mother lived there for her childhood. My grandfather was a dentists at the capital and a clinic in aleppo. I visted my remining relatives in 2006. Nice people. Tolerant and by far free compared the gulf backwater. Women can wear what the hell they want. I remember Iraqi refugees from christian communities living in peace there. They got free education. Religion from all background were respected. They debate about religion and women rights. Now look at it. Saudi trash money distroyed a once wounderful nation. I wonder what happened to those hot women :'(
