Yes majority have no idea, the madrassa only teaches about Islam only it seems. They are too busy concentrating on after life that they forget their life on earth, specially the tabligue or whatever those are called but many also do work though. My aunt's(chachi) father is a great business man and when he goes to feni, he is imam for the main Mosque there. All her brothers are Islamic as well but have had their studies abroad. Also met a few of that kind in Gulshan. But still most are useless in any major economic contribution. No wonder the country is being ruled by the thugs now

Qawmi madrassas teach mainly about Islam while Aliya madrassa syllabi are similar to their mainstream counterparts.

There should be some investigation to find out if Ghatok Dalal Nirmul Committee and associated cultural orgs. have any connection with any foreign intelligence agency with an agenda to undermine Islam in Bangladesh.

Thanks, I did not know. This is very good info. We need to connect the dots and understand the whole picture of what is going on in Bangladesh.

It is no surprise that this RAW operator got cleared in 2008, this tells us more about Gen. Moeen and MUA/FUA govt. and how they were able to bring back Hasina in a rigged election. Bangladeshi clue less public should have never accepted that rigged election, but the propaganda by pro-India media using BNP's Hawa Vaban scandal was fresh in public mind, so I think BNP's perceived misrule was used to legitimize that sham rigged election. BNP and Bangladesh have been paying for not creating enough pro-Bangladesh media, newspapers and TV channels and not hunting down the pro-India elements in pro-India media.

Twenty-five oraganisations, including the Sector Commanders Forum and the Ekattorer Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee, have called a 24-hour nationwide shutdown starting 6pm on Friday to resist Hifazat-e-Islam’s long march towards Dhaka and press for ban on the Jamaat-e-Islami.

”More information on the programme will be disclosed at a press conference at 10.30am on Friday in TSC (at the Dhaka University),” Acting President of the Ekatorrer Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee Shahriar Kabir told bdnews24.com

Earlier, the Hifazat-e-Islam, a radical Jamaat-e-Islami-backed group based in Chittagong, announced to stage a rally in the capital on Apr 6 after marching from Chittagong demanding justice against ‘atheists and blasphemous bloggers’ of the Shahbagh’s Ganajagaran Mancha.

The opposition BNP and a key Jamaat ally, on Tuesday announced ‘moral support’ for the Hifazat-e-Islam programme.

Meanwhile, Home Minister Muhiuddin Khan Alamgir on Wednesday said Khaleda Zia would have to shoulder responsibility for any ‘anarchy’ caused during the programme.

He also talked about taking necessary steps to maintain law and order situation on that day.
