I want to form DNP (DeshBangla National Party). lol

A party which will be completely based on the BNP and Major Zia's ideology/tenets/principles/political policies. Major Zia will be the leader of both DNP and BNP.

Intention:

Practice true democracy where party members will be elected based on education, intelligence and leadership. And the party chair person will not come from any royal family. So no chance for Khaleda Zia, Mr. Tarek and his daughter. Internal democratic system will be practiced for electing leaders like Jammat.

Advantage:

1. BNP will not be able to do/talk against DNP, as DNP's all ideology/tenets/principles/political policies will be based on BNP, or as same as BNP, except the leader electing/choosing system.
2. DNP will be the true democratic version of BNP.
3. BAL will be third party, where BNP and DNP will be the first two.

Wait, I said lol, look at the first row. But the idea is good.

Problem with bloggers, not rally: Hefajat

Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh on Thursday said they had problems with ‘atheist bloggers’ but had no objection to the Ganajagaran Mancha rally in Chittagong.

The Islamist party’s Joint Secretary General Mawlana Mainuddin Ruhi briefed journalists on the issue at Chittagong Metropolitan Journalist Union’s auditorium.

The party was against the bloggers, he said. “We won’t block the rally if they (bloggers) are absent… We have informed police that no one from Dhaka should speak at the rally… Police assured us on the matter.”

He threatened a strike on Sunday, if any of the ‘atheist bloggers’ speak at the rally.

Ganajagaran Mancha began from Feb 5 in Dhaka’s Shahbagh demanding capital punishment for war criminals. Later it spread to the whole of Bangladesh including Chittagong.

The local Mancha unit were continuing demonstrations at the local press club premises on Jamal Khan road. It had called for a rally on Mar 13 in Chittagong.

But the Police, anticipating violence from Islamist groups, banned all forms of gathering and rallies in the port city.

The Ganajagaran Mancha had to cancel the rally it had planned for Tuesday. The Hefazat-e-Islam which had threatened a strike also cancelled their plans.

The Shahbagh protest leaders said they would not hold rallies but sit with religious leaders of Chittagong to clarify their position.

A team of online activists and bloggers led by Imran H Sarkar started off for Chittagong on Mar 13. However, police stopped them at Feni and asked them to return to Dhaka for ‘security reasons’.

It's not my problem, it's the people of BD who elect stupid politicians and suffer. I never have voted in my life. So I am not responsible for the trouble created by stupid politicians.

AL and its Media is giving well effort, AL may win the election again, IMO, if AL can do something good before election, then AL still has good chance because of its media strengths (=propaganda actually).

Me my brother/sister cousins are from a almost 100years old political family.but in our generation non of us joined politics actively as a full time profession.when ever we used to debate about politics my father used say the ppl who only give opinions but do not actively change or help change social /political wrong,s is not civil society. In his opinion we are evil society. I am happy to see we are the bigger group.(at least this forum shows I am right).

Bangladesh should go totalitarian......like BAKSHAL but without the socialist bit!Multi Party Democracy has turned out to Bi-Party and an utter failure. One party, one ideology, democracy!

‘Hefajat guards Jamaat’

The Islamic Front Bangladesh on Saturday described the Hefajat-e-Islami Bangladesh, an organisation that came into limelight after its announcement to prevent Shagbagh protesters from entering Chittagong, as the ‘guard’ of the Jamaat-e-Islami.

The Jamaat-e-Islami opposed Bangladesh’s Liberation War of 1971.

“The leaders of Hefajat-e-Islami are forming Mujahideen Bahini and committing crimes against humanity now like Jamaat did in 1971,” party’s Joint General Secretary Abdus Samad told a rally in the city’s Cheragir intersection area.

The programme was organised to protest the nationwide killings, violence and objectionable remarks against Hazrat Muhammad (PUBH) and the Islam.

The little known Hefajat-e-Islami had called a dawn-to-dusk shutdown in Chittagong for Mar 13, the day Shahbagh’s Ganajagaran Mancha was set to hold two rallies in the port city.

It withdrew the strike call after the Mancha postponed its programme due to ‘security reasons’.

The Hefajat had also called for resisting the rally at Ashulia, as they did at Chittagong, on Friday but could not due to heavy security arrangements.

Samad said, “The members of Hefajat’s Mujahideen Bahini were associated with Jamaat’s Al Badr, Al Shams forces and used to kill, rape and torture people in 1971.”

He also demanded that those war criminals be brought to justice.
