Lol we are getting alone. Dear friend please lets not be jingoistic and rely on Indian yellow Journalism. There are plenty of countries besides China that are and will be with Pakistan

Before that Pakistan hosted ECO where 10 countries Including Iranian and Turkish president were present.
I havent even brought our engagement with Russia. This is not a thread about Pakistan so i leave it at that but it would wise for you to stop taking everything your government and media says very seriously.

You should read the OP at first before commenting.However,cricket is the biggest entertainment for all south Asian.Pakistani people should not be deprived of it.

I can understand Sri Lanka and Bangladesh completely. Just put yourself in their shoes, you'll understand too.

They are small direct neighbors of a big bully who threatens them with all sort of consequences (ranging from economic sanctions to outright chaos via her terrorist proxies) if they do not submit to her wishes.

I think a small and peaceful country like Sri Lanka just want sto avoid troubles from the big-bully-with-small-brains.

Due to Indian pressure Srilanka back from invitation. As we all knows how mush they spend on current Govt. Anyway this is not good for cricket and politics must be out from any form of the game. I hope Indians put ego aside and try to understand that.

India have agreed to take part in the Independence Cup in Sri Lanka in 2018, Sri Lanka Cricket President Thilanga Sumathipala confirmed last Friday (January 20). As part of their 70th Independence day celebrations, Sri Lanka have expressed interest to host the tournament involving India, Pakistan and South Africa.

Speaking to the reporters following a meeting involving the SLC officials, Sumathipala revealed that the final dates would be fixed soon following discussions with the respective boards. "We are very very keen to play our Independence cup in Sri Lanka next year which India has agreed to be part of it," Sumathipala said. "There is a South Africa-India tour coming up and it might clash with the India-Pakistan tour.

"The Indians are willing to go to South Africa in the period where we are scheduled to tour, so we will discuss with India and South Africa during the next month's ICC meeting in Dubai regarding our return tour, Independence Cup and then we all (Sri Lanka, India, South Africa and Pakistan) will accommodate each other," he further added.

Sumathipala confirmed that India agreed to participate following discussions between the Prime Ministers of the respective countries. "India has already given their willingness to play the Independence Cup in 2018 in Sri Lanka after Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe discussed this with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently," he said.

The SLC president also revealed that in order to celebrate India's 70th Independence day this year, Sri Lanka might visit the country for a short tour. India are already scheduled to tour Sri Lanka in July-August to play three Tests, five One-Day Internationals and a Twenty20 International for which the dates haven't been finalised yet.

See participation doesnt mean they are with you ... pakistan is being ignored latest example is this Bangladesh and even most players refused to go to pakistan to play PSL in lahore most foreign players who participated were retired and I was watching dunya news there was almost a curfew in lahore ...what I want to say is instead of blaming other countries pak should check why this happened

yes leave Sri lanka alone, they are nice people, just being bullied by the bully. This Indian inferiority complex is making mess of everything in the region. Time will come when the ones being bullied will start slapping them on face...every dog gets his day.

Most likely India (BCCI) arm twisted SL to leave PAK. Both BD and India together may also oppose PAK participation or may be PAK cricket has some other tour schedule during the time. Regardless of the reason, Cricket is NOT a mere sport but can be used as a political tool just like all other major sports. if its due to politcal pressure from India, then it definitely was a bad decision on SL's part.

Countries with self respect would've boycott this event and we should do it ,If it wasn't for SRI LANKA'S 70th independence.
