This discussion thread will hopefully discuss (with help from experts like @Penguin Bhai and others) which is Bangladesh' best choice in the coming decade for a shallow-draft littoral frigate or corvette. Although these ships might be a bit ahead of the status quo in the local area right now, they warrant careful scrutiny for the future because of features which can be incorporated in the local builds of littoral frigates a la LCS for establishing naval superiority in Bangladesh' littoral coastal marine area.
Recently the two innovative LCS classes in the US and a slew of European competitors are beginning to re-define littoral warfare which is the battleground for the next few decades and beyond. I will describe and post pros and cons of each class in the next few days.
The listings are as below (Let's start with the US LCS vessels).

- US : Independence and Freedom LCS classes
- Denmark: Iver Huitfeldt class frigate and Absalon flexible support ship classes
HDMS Absalon
- United Kingdom: Type 23 frigate and its successor the type 26 Global Combat Ship class
- Norway: Nansen class frigate (a bit large)
- Sweden: Visby class fast patrol corvette
- Germany: F125 frigate and K130 Braunschweig class (or Korvette 130)
- France and Italy: European multipurpose frigate (FREMM)
