Lets get to the heart of the matter.

The events we have been witnessing in for quite some time till now are all leading toward anarchy. There is a failure of good governance, corruptions are at an all time high, acute energy crisis, a treacherous economic downturn, effecting peoples livelihoods of the people, terrorism etc in light of all this its not hard to conclude that a systematic destabilization is underway in Pakistan, so humbly i ask is it time we try implement the Bangladesh model. I raised this issue because the latest election victory of gilini Jr, has frightened me that our electoral system is such that the same corrupted faces resurfaces time out & time again, & our jazbaati awam gets too much carried away or the illiteracy rate along with poverty in our societies does not allow them to think beyond a plate of Biriyani.

So, should we try a technocratic setup govt backed by the army & the judiciary in Pakistan

i voted yes

I think it is too risky for democracy to hand over power to army/technocrats at regular interval. In south asia, people need representation and a voice. Democracy gives them that.
I understand that the current ruling party (or the party that might replace them) do not follow democratic principle themselves. But these parties can be forced by people to behave. Just vote the other side in next election.

Give democracy to time to mature, thats all I can say.

I voted against the model.

Democracy never works in Pakistan..Thats time tested...
Any other model will do better

I beg to differ, democracy never had time to flourish in Pakistan, give it some time and room. Democracy may not be a perfect entity but still it is better than many options.

I would go with NO.

There is no alternative to democracy in pakistan.
Army is in no mood to expose itself to public scrutiny, it will continue to be in the decision making role in the background(authority), and civilians will be responsible for what happens there.
So in medium term you are stuck with army+democracy.
