Indian clothes (especially Sarees) are cheap to purchase in India, and the workmanship is good compared to the price paid. Whether Kanchipuram, Zardosi or Benares styles. Too confusing for any guy....

Women (of any religion) in the subcontinent (including Bangladesh) are at once very liberal yet very traditional with their choice of clothing. Bangladeshi women have been wearing Sarees as long as rest of subcontinent has. Although the method/style they use to wrap a Saree is very different from how South Indian or Western Indian women do it.

Clothes are chosen not on the basis of 'cultural invasion', rather as novel 'man-pasand' articles of beauty to grace an occasion mostly for vanity reasons.

Here is Ishrat Amin (one of our better female photographers). She is seen wearing four different outfits here. I am a simple guy, don't ask me why the different outfits. There is apparently some rule of propriety to all this......matching occasion to outfit. Very confusing....

According to your theory - she has been 'invaded' by the cultures of Pakistan and at least three different Indian regions just because she spent money on these clothes.
