1. Bangladesh is a riverine country so it has been seen that Bengal became a safe Heaven for the Muslim Fugitive. When ever there was a clash in Delhi between the two rivalry groups during Muslim rule the defeated one used to take shelter in Bengal.
2. During the reign of Changiz Khan and Halaku Khan many of the Muslin Royal families fled from Iran, Khurashan, Afganistan, Iraq, Arab and other Central Asian people and took refugee in India and subsequently many came to Bengal.
3. During the reign of Akbar,many Ullema Mashaik were force ably deported to Bengal in order to weaken the Muslim hold in Akbar's court.
3. During the civil war between Abbasite and Umayait Dynasty many Ummayait took shelter in Bengal.
4. During the attacks of Marathas in Bengal many Muslims of West Bengal due to fear of persecution some how cross Padma river and took shelter in Bengal. These Muslims includes not only the Muslims of West Bengal but Muslims of Orrissa and other parts of Southern region.
