Bangladesh government refuses 'Al Quds Day' :: Weekly Blitz

For the first time, since independence of Bangladesh, the secularist and socialist government led by Bangladesh Awami League has refused sending any official from the government at the seminar organized by the Iranian Cultural Center and Iranian Embassy at the auditorium of Bangladesh Supreme Court on August 26, 2011. During the program, Palestinian Ambassador in Bangladesh Shaher Mohammad sought support from "Bangladesh government and its people" to their appeal for membership in the UN in its upcoming session. Though current ruling party in Bangladesh has made an amendment to the constitution thus shifting to socialism and secularism, there is no sign from the government in lifting travel ban on Bangladesh from visiting Israel as well as establishment of diplomatic relations with Jerusalem. It was already reported in media that, the current secularist and socialist government in Bangladesh was actively considering establishing relations with Israel, which was seen as a major positive step forward.
Despite current government policies in not patronizing any anti-Israel activities from Bangladesh, on the so-called Al Quds day, special prayers were offered at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, for the Palestinian people and the clergies gave hate-filled lecture against Israel, in presence of at least 75,000 people, who gathered to offer last Friday prayers of the month of Ramadan.
Right after the so-called seminar, Iranian and Palestinian embassies sponsored burning of US and Israeli flags on the streets of Dhaka, which was later publicized in a number of pro-Iran Jihadists websites. Leading Bangladeshi English press such as The Daily Star, The Daily Sun, The Financial Express, The News Today, The New Nation, The Independent, The New Age, The Bangladesh Today and all the Bangla language dailies carried the news about the seminar as well as burning of flags in prominent manner. Some of the newspapers also carried opinion-editorials against Israel and the United States. State-owned Bangladesh Television and all other private TV channels prominently and in supportive ways broadcast the news on the anti-Israel and anti-West rally and seminar in Dhaka. Iran's brutal dictator and mass-killer clergy Ayatollah Khomeini introduced Al Quds Day in 1979. Since then, this day is observed every year under the direct patronization of Iranian Cultural Centers and Iranian Embassies in the Muslim countries, which continues to deny the existence of the State of Israel.
It may be mentioned here that, taking the unique advantage of Bangladesh government's anti-Israel policy, Iranian and Palestinians are freely operating their recruitment of Jihadists in Bangladesh, almost in open manner. Iranian Cultural Center and Iranian Embassy, in addition to their ongoing efforts in recruiting jihadists from various countries, including Bangladesh, who later are sent to Kashmir and Palestine for participating in 'jihad', they also continue various forms of anti-Israel activities in many nations. Iranians have been so far successful in letting Bangladesh continue a total ban on Israel [travel ban, economic ban, communication ban etc] and political parties in Bangladesh denies the existence of the State of Israel. All previous governments in Bangladesh, since independence of the nation in 1971, have been supporting Palestinian terrorism and activities of Fatah and lately Hamas.
According to various reports in the media, Iranians have succeeded recruiting many agents also in the West, whose main mission is to damage each of pro-Israel Medias and groups inside United States and the world. Few of such pro-Iran and pro-Jihadists elements are actively trying to suffocate voice of anti-Jihadist media in the world. Few of such pro-Jihadist elements are actively conspiring against Weekly Blitz for some time. They also have been using several websites and blogs in spreading notorious propaganda against the newspaper.
