Walton will showcase its next generation breakthrough innovations and technologies in the mega consumer event, where the world's top experts present their latest inventions.

Walton's participation in the CES-2023 will open a new horizon for Bangladesh, as it is a great milestone for the country's electronics and technology sector, industry insiders said.

The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) is arranging the CES-2023 on more than 2.6 million square feet exhibit space at the Las Vegas Convention Center in the USA.

This year's CES will host more than 4,500 exhibiting companies and showcase nearly 20,000 new transformative tech products.

Walton is the first Bangladeshi company to participate in the world's flagship tradeshow for consumer electronics, said Golam Murshed, managing director and CEO of Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC.

The next generation innovative technology products with 'Made in Bangladesh' tag and equipped with advanced features will be presented at the world's biggest tech platform, he noted.

"It's a great milestone not only for Walton but also for Bangladesh's electronics and technology products manufacturing sector. Through this, the image of Bangladesh will reach a unique height in the global technology sector."

The government is currently emphasizing on economic diplomacy for which international fairs are very important, said Nayem Uddin Ahmed, director general of the America branch of the foreign affairs ministry.

"In this case, the CES is definitely a good platform. It's good news that Walton from Bangladesh is going to participate in the fair."

Export of electronics from Bangladesh to the European countries has already started and the CES in Las Vegas could fuel export of such products to the US market also, said Abdur Rahim Khan, additional secretary for export of the commerce ministry.

"It is definitely good news that Walton is going to represent our country in the fair. We are trying to create more such opportunities in different countries."

Walton will participate in the CES as the part of implementing the roadmap to achieve the Bangladeshi company's 'Go Global 2030' vision, said Mostafa Nahid Hossain, chief business officer of Walton TV and coordinator of CES-2023.

He urged everyone to visit Walton's giant pavilion number 17928 at the CES-2023.

@UKBengali another one of your predictions comes true!

A time is coming when the brand name Walton is famous. And with it the name Bangladesh will also become famous.

I am waiting for a day when the country Bangladesh will represent quality electronic products like Japan only two decades ago.

Walton could now realistically be one of the top 5 electronics companies in the world by 2030, just behind the likes of Samsung, LG and Sony now.

I cannot see Sony in the top five by 2030.

It will include couple of Chinese outfits instead.

Walton cannot become big without making sewing needles 😂😂😂😂

I know where you are coming from but Sony is still HUGE in terms of component manufacturing.

So many phones have sub-components like cameras that are sourced from Sony.

Agreed that there will be one or two Chinese outfits in the top 5-6 but don't bet against Sony as they also have their best-selling Playstation brand.

Walton is already designing and patenting improvements to current LED technology and by 2030, I even think that it can potentially be a company that starts cutting edge research in some fields it is incolved in.

I think Japs are still stuck with traditional stuff.

They never innovate! Always on efficiency and enhancements 🤣🤣

Japs could never build a TikTok or Alibaba!

And of course Japs got totally turned over by British gaming industry 😂😂🤩

Meta will dominate the next generation of gaming hardware.

Get rid of cheap products Industry like textile. Only Expensive products industries can bring the population out of poverty.
Bangladesh should focus of Mechanical and Electrical Industries.
Cheap products ensures employment of our massive unskilled population. We need more time to develop our human resource...

At this stage of our development…

Quantity of jobs is much more important than quality of jobs.

Don’t want to be like India where few million highly paid IT professionals live with 100s of millions of BIMARU beggars.

It causes social unrest - leading to rise of identity politics of extremists like BJP.

. . . .
are you serious
@UK Bengali is just a big mouthpiece for his political party BAL. He exaggerates everything as if talking big will set BD to a higher level.

But, let WALTON grow to a level to be recognized by the world's consumer societies.

Don't you know the level and scale of the top five in the world? Frankly speaking, it would be nice to be in the top five in India.
