I do not agree with this. In animals we can see the ideas of respect and kindness expressed in various ways. Elephants show great amount of kindness and respect to one another, the same goes for primates as well.

I wonder if this is dawn or dusk. Because small number of Islamists always maintained their position in BD but never became larger force. These ludicrous titles pop up here and there to wreck havoc among soft minded people. Read history of Faraizi movement, Titumir, Abdur Rahim's party of 1920s, Islamists of 1990s. Faith wise BD Islamists arent susceptible to extremism who follow long procedure of Islamic lessons. But some people who subscribe to some of the teachings and go for short cuts. And some fall prey to globalist agnda conecting Islam many times which only satisfies non Muslims. Other violences are much more severe in BD without any religious influences, they dont get much attention. There are both extremism fueling and diminishing factors among Islamists, so it remains contained. You just need to dig more deeper. And women were much more conservative than now. No outsiders could see my grand mothers faces, now that is rare. Hear lecture of flag bearer lady of Grameen bank who worked initially in Chittagong region for Grameen Bank. Women didnt used to even come up before outsider women. Now religious influence has massively fallen and people become pervert. Women use hijab and burqa to save themselves from these perverts. Inside there are all types of mentalities not just conservatives. And Pakistan was created not by the Islamists but the neglected peasants, who were offered all types benefits if Pakistan is created which never happened btw.

@Nilgiri what @Anubis said before applies here.....two opposite kind of views are flourishing in Bangladesh....one is wahabism....talibanism..and the other one is radical secularism.

Our parents were moderate....moderately religious as with secular views.....but we are either way too religious..or way too secular(like me who is too secular even by Swedish standards)....well none of these are good for the country. If mullahs get too much power they will destroy the country like they did in Afghanistan....on the other hand the country isn't ready for total secularism(I mean my of level secularism) yet either..

Rise of either of them is bad.....when both of them rises...then god better help us.....in 20 years you won't see moderately dressed women in streets....either they will be wearing very revealing clothes or they will be completely be covered in burqa. And both mullah group and secular group will get into clash.
