Bangladesh beat Scotland by six wickets Thursday in the Cricket World Cup Pool A match at Saxton Oval.

Kyle Coetzer posted the first century for Scotland in a Cricket World Cup match to lead his team to 318-8 as it batted first on Thursday against Bangladesh.

Coetzer’s 156 was his second one-day international century, his highest score and the second-highest individual total for Scotland in all ODIs, surpassed only by the 175 scored by his opening partner Calum MacLeod in a qualifying match against Canada last year.

Weak bowling is the main problem of all associate teams. Afghanistan is a bit better in bowling among them but then their batting is not good.

I think comparing them with the team (hint) who has been playing since last 2 decades and have test status as well, these associate team's performance was splendid. I Believe given that, if these teams are also given the number of matches BD gets, they can come up to be quite competitive.

Give teams like Ireland, Scotland chances to play regular cricket for 10 years with major ICC teams like BD gets and then watch Ireland play in WC semis and finals. Many people overlook that many Irish cricketers get poached by the English cricket board and play for england. Irish are a good team, they just don't have the experience of playing top level cricket as often.

Ireland and other associate team gets to play Australia, India, NZ etc. ONCE in FOUR YEARS. How are the associate teams expected to improve? Cricket is increasingly becoming a game played by only 8 countries. While soccer is played by nearly 200. ICC needs to seriously expand base. A WC played by 8 teams is a laughing stock.

They will 100% qualify. BTW India didn't stop playing cricket after 2007. LOLs It happens sometimes so.....
