May be some of the officer bought the old cars which were used for operation "Dal bhat" at a reduced rate. It is a corruption ??????????????????? How much profit was there in that operation ???

Pilkhana happened for a reason. It is mainly because the army officers led lavish lives while the BDR in miserable conditions did their jobs. They got frustrated.

Listen, that event was the darkest day in our history. That fool, Gen. Moeen just sat there doing nothing while those officers were getting butchered!

Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if it was indeed the AL behind the massacre.

The military's top officers need to be made more accountable.

I think this is a good idea, this way the army can earn its own money and not put too much burden on the government. What has to be ensured is that the moeny does not go to the pockets of the officers.

So many seems to agree with you.
But this is an age of expertise and specialization. Army should focus on defence. Govt on governance and taxation. Business should be left to businessmen and entrepreneur. They can earn enough for you, which will fund your army. Army does not need to do it.

You can blame any mishap including airplane crash and sinking of boats in river, on BSF. I dont think any Indian agency can indoctrinate BDR people to commit rape and murder, they seem to be driven by lot of hatred.

There were rumors about "foreign conspiracy". Many theories flying about regarding the Pilkhana tragedy.

I have no doubt, some of insider people who pulled off the stunt are still running around freely. A much higher authority was involved in pulling the strings in the Pilkhana incident. They are in Bangladesh. No use prosecuting BDR jawans.

Many AL men were jailed during the caretaker government. Need any more hints?

Also if the military can make money by themselves, it will make them autonomous and un- accountable to the civilian administration.

I do not just know why some members, who claim themselves as BD citizens and come here with BD flag, are bent on spreading hate against our military. Most of the country's Officers go to best schools, learn from the best teachers, and are good in English. Only the rich parents can afford all these amenities.

This is how they are selected by the ISSB tests. During training these officers are taught and are required to follow strict discipline in their daily life. They are the elite Officers of the country's military. They are not supposed to live like beggers.

Go to any of army Cantonments in BD. When you enter the main gate you will see it is not like other parts of BD. It is very near to europe. This has been continuing since Pakistan time. When the Cadet Officers graduate and try to follow the rules set out during their training, they find they cannot afford luxuries, because their salaries are very low.

So, their rich parents, specially the mothers, come forward and help them maintain a life style that they have been taught to follow by their superiors. Now, some people, who would never qualify by the ISSB selection board, come here to spread rumour and hates against these officers' life style. But, they are certainly entitled to it because they are from rich families.

Every one wants a good money to live a good life, to have a better future and to educate their children in good schools. The GoB cannot afford to pay all the amenities to all the soldiers equally. This is why the military has organized a system whereby the savings, pensions and part of the salaries of the troops are put into a fund and used to establish business organizations that finally befit the contributors.

This novel system was established during Pakistan time and is now being continued by the BD military. Now, what is the fault in this system? Here, i find some people want all the money for themselves and do not want to share it with others. Let the military people earn more money through good business initiatives. It should be a source of heartache for others.

Many countries provide rations and facilities for their military personal, no wrong there.

The point is why military should own businesses? If you don't believe, look at what is happening in Egypt and you'll see what us "unpatriotic" Bangladeshis mean.

Military people in BD do not themselves do any business. They provide money to the trusts and the trust is managed by a set of good civilian managers, who are again supervised by certain people nominated by milityary for doing that.

Participants get their profit through dividend payments. This make them happy and content. Sorry, your theory cannot be put into practice in context of BD military.

You dont even want to open your eyes against the problems of military running businesses! It can work in the context of any military. The govt can run the businesses.
