India and Bangladesh border is long and not properly marked..... Such incidents keep happening..... At chicken neck area many times Indian planes some time fly over BD or even cross over Nepal by mistake..... My dad told me during Rajeev Gandhi times once relations with Nepal went down to the extent that Nepal deployed anti aircraft guns purchased from china to shoot down such planes..... I think India and Bangladesh have already adjusted themselves peacefully with such things....

You forgot that in mahabharata time , they used Internet.

Yes. In any case, I advise your airforce to keep their aircrafts at least 100 km away from Indian border, because these IAF dudes are masters of misfires. They send their missile to east, and it ultimately lands in west.

Two Bangladeshi air force helicopters crossed the Indian border at Basirhat. After four to five minutes, the two helicopters circled through Indian territory and re-entered Bangladesh.

Thursday at 2 p.m.,Two Bangladesh Air Force helicopters seen circling the West Jayanagar on the India-Bangladesh border.

The Bell-212 model helicopter had pictures of the flag of Bangladesh Air Force. There is an air force air base at Barrackpore in North 24 Parganas. Bangladeshi helicopter entered just 40 kilometers from there, raising questions about the safety of that area.

BD is a friendly country. It is ok.

Remained on Indian airspace for 4-5 minutes yet no response from ''great'' air defence system of 'superpower' India? At least they could have warned those two helicopter to go back inside Bangladesh within first minute. How could they stroll around Indian airspace for full 4-5 minutes without any response?

If any country had some respectable military hardware, they would know not all 100% of any country's border are covered by SAMs. Not even US. Not India Pakistan or China border.

Imagine how many batteries required to 100% cover Indian boundary with SAM. Stop acting like a kid. They are placed bases on threat perception and it's BD threat perception to India is probably zero however badly you folks want an imaginary enemy out of India to soothe your ego.

All but 2 km out of more than 4000 km border of Bangladesh-India is properly demarcated with permanent border pillars erected and 80 percent of border also barbed wire fenced from the Indian side. So there is no excuse of not knowing the border.

The area we are talking about is nowhere near chicken neck area. It is near Kolkata.

You are wrong into assuming that Indian or Bangladeshi military plane habitually cross each others territory. It does not happen, not even in Siliguri corridor and Bangladeshi territory adjacent to it. Countries do not take kindly when other's military plane violates it's airspace. Not even from the friendliest country. So, India-Nepal analogy can not the replicated with Bangladesh.

This excuse does not hold true because this incident happened just 40 km away from your airbase. Accept that, your airmen responsible for monitoring the sky were loose.
