What's new

Bangaldeshi Armoured Corps: MBTs

You are talking 2 decades into the future.

India is spending only 1.8% of GDP on defence.

Bangladesh cannot spend billions as it has a nascent economy.

India can spend billions as it is a developing economy.

We are spending tens of billions on social sector programmes. This past decade and a half poverty and hunger have been greatly eradicated although it still exists. The new govt. should be able to handle this menace now.

Bangladesh has greater poverty than India and fewer economic opportunities.

If Bangladesh attempts to enter the chicken neck area it can be taken out from the air with BSF handling the crumbs.

North East is heavily militarised with even local police competent to resist an offensive by so called Bangladesh Army.

Your own para military is trigger happy killing your army brass. and you claim to have a capability now or in the future to conduct an offensive on Indian territory.

Well, India still has 60% of its population without access to toilets and 6000 Indian children are starving to death daily, that means India needs more money to fund its social security programs, social indicators of Bangladesh are higher than India, that means we have more money to invest on our military.

However, we don't really need to invade India, India itself is dependent on Bangladesh to curb the insurgencies in North East while the economy of North East is highly dependent on the official and unofficial trade with Bangladesh. All we need is to put an economic sanction on India and stop the assistance to curb the insurgencies, it wouldn't take a minute to start the balkanization of India.

Dude - BD has no interest in starting anything.

As long as India is a good neighbour, BD does not need to cut it in two. If it starts misbehaving then BD can hurt India badly.

The "chickens-neck" will always give BD an advantage over India.

again what about BD chicken's neck? you are keep on avoiding my simple question

In 20 years time, BD should have an air-force with around 200 modern fighters - enough to fend off the forces that India can array against BD. Remember you will need to keep a lot of forces stationed against Pakistan and China - Pakistan would take any opportunity to take Kashmir and China wants Arunchal.
i gave you a solution to that but still you BSing ...

we will place 2-3 sqn of akash and a new Long ranged SAM with a range of 200-250 km is on the drawing board, which is likely be a spin off our ABM technology

The Su-30MKI at Tezpur can reach BD within minutes.
Pick off your air force in minutes.

Clearing path for Jaguars to bomb the hell out of your ground troops.

Proceeded by a counter punch by Assam rifles and BSF.

Troops at China border stay where they are.

Awami League will always be there.

Neither will Khalda Zia be there after 2 decades.

Also after 2 decades it is the PAK-FA which will be at Tezpur.

Surely the PAK-FA will take even less time cleaning house vis-a-vis BD Air Force

J-31s will be stationed in BD to take on PAK-FAs.

China will sell J-31 to BD as it is designed for export and will be a true 5th generation fighter.

Forget Awami League as they are held together by Hasina - once she gets too old they start infighting and break up. Dont think Indian influence over BD can last too much longer

.
I am thinking about 20 years from now of both India and BD dude.

BD will fully modernise its military by then and will be mainly using Chinese weapons.

India will use a mix of Russian, US, French, Jewish and domestic systems.

BD is not an insignificant state as it is almost as large as Pakistan. Once it starts using its economy to fund a proper military, then they should be as powerful as all Indian forces that surround BD.

Anyway, I don't think that India will lose the NE by any military invasion, much more likely that the people of the NE will lose interest in the Indian Union and will join China, BD and/or go independent.

Yup, that is my point, you are assuming many thing, not even 1 or 2, you assuming many points.

India will be in bad shape as economy.
India military muscle is in deteriorating shape.
NE start an uprising against Union.
Nepal and Bhutan stop supporting India.
China invade India.

You are assuming even more points than Ayub Khan, before he going with invasion of Kashmir.

Bro, military plan dont draw like that. Even if one point go wrong, what I said above, it will be disastrous for BD to use military force against India.

Bro, if J-31 going to be a critical fighter like Pak Fa, than China not going to sell anyone to this, it definitely will be a downgraded version of J-31 for export.

.
Dude, as BD's economy grows(over 6% a year as we speak) it will soon be in a position to buy many more tanks and modern 4th/5th generation aircraft.

The "chickens-neck" will always be your vulnerability and BD's ultimate aim must be to use this threaten to cut the NE from mainland India in order to influence Indian behaviour.

Have you heard the Bengali idiom; "Hati ghora gelo tol, bang bole koto jal"!!

.

Dude - all that counts if that it can take on PAK-FA which I am sure that it will do. In 2 decades, Chinese weapons technology will be amazing. Just look at the developments they are doing now - in some fields like HGV only the US is able to compete with them.

You are assuming that PAk-FA will be significantly better than J-31.

Bro,most of the chinese tech. is russian, russian are still ahead in military tech. than this. But leave this, you talking about chicken neck.

What if when BD will engaging with Indian forces in NE, the Burma starts an invasion and try to capture Chittogong, if your own point consider, if India cant face two front war, than bro BD too cant face two front war, even in future, even if you have 200 5th generation fighters.

.
Dude why r you always trolling bangladeshis .. You are a bengali yourself,?

First, don't you think most Bangladeshis here invite trolling from us with their idiotic, delusional, and in many times outrageously ridiculous posts? :)

Second, Indian Punjabis and Pakistani Punjabis are not exactly great friends, however, we only troll PDF Bangladeshis for their stupid posts, real life Bangladeshis act sanely.

People of NE in recent elections voted BJP.

That itself is damn proof that people of NE have faith in India, are patriots and will serve India to their full extent.
In 2 decades time Indian forces in NE will multiply that includes BD sector.

I think BD will use more Russian systems than Chinese.
India can ensure that.

.
@UKBengali : one more point, you never heard of this thing, what about when BD starts an offensive on Indian chicken neck, India starts its own offensive plan to target BD;s chicken neck, by capturing Baraiyarhat.

.

BD Air Force has little exp with modern planes.

I think you will first induct 4th gen fighters before 5th gen.

Who will train BD pilots to fly a J-31. A big leap from F-7 straight to J-31.

We are talking 2 decades into the future. :blah::blah::blah:

India has a higher tax base than Bangladesh in per capita terms also.

Stop dreaming about your importance in NE.

BD place economic sanction on India?

That might result in naval blockade in which case millions of BDians will die in a few weeks.

India has massive presence in Bdesh.

From the Pm to Telecom sector to DGFI.

you have to undo all that before your wet dreams come into reality

.
you're one foolish fellow.do you want to see on what a Tank could run??

Tank generally gets tested on every kind of surface.about ground pressure,India tests its tank on Deserts.you can bet we buy/make tanks which can go soggy plains.about PT-76,it never got "Bogged Down".it crossed rivers with much ease, though these thin and obsolete tanks became easy target of enemy.even though few dozens were knocked out, everyone except 11 got repaired and entered into service again.

about T-55,its movement was according to the planned role.India planned each forces' movement in advance, which is expected.read this....

Military plans of the Bangladesh Liberation War - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

it has nothing to do with soggier lands.if that was the case,BD wouldn't bother about tank brigades.
It is useless to teach a brainless ignorant Indian about our terrain. Better you talk to your strategists and generals. They know better.

This is why they did not try to penetrate further from Jessore with tanks. Dhaka photographs are all fictitious because a few T-55 tanks were brought there after the war for a photo session to please ignorant and spineless Indians like you.

BD has tanks for reasons that it is concentrated in its NW whereby Indian tanks may enter from those tank-movable lands or BA may send its own tanks to Indian land there.

Now BD will put economic sanction on India and destroy India!! Things are getting more and more delusional here.

Dude - Indian economy will never do well since it is a multi-ethnic country and they generally don't grow as fast as unitary ones.

Indian economy has done far better than BD.
