BAF to induct Su-30SME from Russia

The articles seems to be based on what Bdmilitary was spewing at that point in time. Bdmilitary is the biggest flip-flopping outlet in the history of Bangladesh. Amar Khan/Ashiq is always desperate to get ahead of the news cycle by predicting future acquisitions based on what he hears from people he knows in the military but never apologising when proven wrong. He seems to make the mistake of assuming that every military person he speaks to is aware of procurement plans.

Bdmilitary went from "BAF confirmed to acquire 48 MiG-35s with ToT + 8 Su-30 SMTs" to "BAF punishing (!) Russia by going for Rafales/Typhoons." kicking MiG-35s complete out of the picture along with the imaginary "ToT".

He failed to account for the fact that BAF is run by a bunch of imbeciles who are proud to fly F-7s. This orgsnisation never seemed to have recovered from their massacre in the late 1970s.

I request @bluesky and other Bangladeshis to refrain from opening threads with such titles until an official confirmation is available.

Fact is Bangladesh is no where near Pakistan. And if u actaully seen Bangladesh Dhaka the capital, you will begin to relize the actual farseness of Bangladesh claims ever come close to shadowing Pakistan. Dhaka is a pile of garbage honestly and to be their to see the actual reality.


As for GDP exonomic comparisons despite Pakistan dark economy not included or alot undocumented, Pakistan leads in every way against Bangladesh.

I do not care what BDmilitary.com says. Please read the opening thread. I am just asking the authenticity of the news that BAF has already ordered 8 units of Su-30SME or is in the process of negotiation with Russia. I just want to know the truth. One fellow said Wiki says of 8 units ordered. So, what is the reality when BAF is building a few airports?

Bangladesh has $33 billion foreign exchange reserves against Pakistan's less than $10 billion. BD export volume is $35 billion against Pakistan's $20 billion. THere are so many indicators that say an upward moving BD GDP and downward moving Pakistan economy. You have very fondly eaten up the $33 billion US money without killing a single Taliban. Your economy is sick. Imran Khan is considering seeking China line of credit to bail out your country.

If you rely on them solely, yes these are flawed.

I can also pose the question similarly why has Bangladesh with much more foreign reserves than Pakistan only managed to invest 360 million USD outside of its borders? Whereas Pakistan has invested nearly 2 billion in comparison?

Why are we focused on trade when the % of trade/GDP is so low for both countries and not increasing much?

Why does Pakistan file magnitude more patents at USPTO than Bangladesh? Why does it have much higher science and research output? Why does it consume much more energy per person? Why is its market cap much bigger and growing much faster? Why is its poverty rate much lower? Why is its economy much more diverse? Why does it have much higher GDP per capita (PPP)?

Obviously GDP is a much larger issue than just 1 or 2 cherrypicked things given without context. Simply showing things Bangladesh does better in largely because of its LDC preferential tarrif regime (in EU, and previously in US) is quite flawed.
