Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Muhammad Enamul Bari left here for China on Sunday on a six-day official visit to the country.

He will exchange views with senior military and civil officials of China on matters of bilateral interests during his visit.

Taking place at the invitation of Ministry of National Defence, China, the visit will play an important role in strengthening existing relations between Bangladesh and China, said a press release of ISPR

He is going there to get the F7BGI, no doubt. 6 days is quite long for our military chief to stay in another country. Maybe something big is up Hopefully he will work out another defence deal with the Chinese or propose joint exercises.

Thats for the army.
As for the l-7 trainers, possibility is low if the YAK deal worked through.

F7 isnt garbage. We need interceptors badly as we are going to retire our F 7MB and our fantans soon. We need some planes to fill in for the retired birds.

BAF has already signed a contract to procure Yak-152. So L-7 should be off. BAF's current FM-90B has better range than LY-60D. The Chief might explore J-10.

LY 60D is for the army not air force. By the way the LY 60D deal is confirmed already as it has been shown in our military open house.
