Azerbaijan Defence Programs & Military Development

Lol Iran got %50 of the sea before, according to agreement with Soviet Union. They tried to reach for %20, and now they got something like %11-13. Iran lost so many oil and gas fields to Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan.

Kazakhstan wants to build oil pipeline to Baku, as Turkmenistan wants to build gas pipeline to Baku. I hope these plans will happen in near future with well planned projects.

that map shows previous borders, as Caspian Lake was previously considered a lake, every country got an equal share of the Lake, now under official recognition of Caspian as a sea, all borders are separated according to international maritime law. Under this law, Azerbaijan gains the most, by taking over large portion of Iranian share of the Caspian, including areas of biggest oil and gas fields. and another big win is that Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan can build a pipeline without an approval of other Caspian countries.

this map features updated borders.

Hi,

Do you have a link for the full agreement text?

The next step should be getting rid of those old *** Russian aircrafts. Europeans and Americans dont mind selling anything to Saudis but Azerbaijan? Fucking hypocrites and fucking lobbyism.

Azerbaijan will probably go for Su-35S or Su-57 as superiority fighters and JF-17 Block 3s, as Armenia is acquiring around 12 Su-30SMs. Really no other choice.

yeah but it does not sound bad..

any chance for turkish missles on russian planes? for jf17 it would be no problem

There is no issues with it as long as the bomb has been pre-programmed on the ground. Russian aircraft can drop missile like a dumb-bomb and missile will do it's own thing. HGK for example was first designed like that before being integrated...

Air Force has integrated Spike NLOS missiles onto Mi-17-V1 helicopters, giving them ability to take out targets at 30kms. Across all branches, Azerbaijan is the second biggest user of Spikes in the world.
