All look nice but they still using old soviet frontal attack doctrines which were created for the mass invasion of European countries and if the doctrine will work then only on flat terrain (which Eastern Europe is) but why the heck they have so mass scale exercises on a flat terrain when occupied land is in mountain areas where all of this training will be useless?

most of Azerbaijan's positions are on the flat side, which is why armor is moving from flat terrain towards hills, not all positions are in mountainous terrain, many positions are nearly flat or are located on hills. The armor doesn't simply head towards the enemy, once artillery strikes take out fortified positions and tens of UAVs flying above survey the area, the armor begins moving up with infantry and artillery support.

Frontal armor attacks weren't developed by Soviets, its a standard type of attack by armor that is used by every single military in the world including NATO countries
