Featured Azerbaijan and Pakistan JF-17 negotiations

Hi,

What do you mean by " countries that count "---.

None of those countries air forces are of any significant count in front of the PAF---so if Paf accepts this aircraft as the most utilitarian aircraft for the force---then by default it is a superior aircraft---.

Now " those countries that count " have their own choices---. They have been using a certain aircraft or certain products that have been " time tested " by them---and it is not easy to leave a time tested weapon for a new one---.

People who buy BMW's and Mercedes can also afford to buy hondas and toyotas---but they don't---even though both are more reliable and have a higher resale value---. But then that is not what " that " buyer is looking for---.

he is looking for a show piece which he believe that would satisfy his need.

A good example is Myanmar and Nigeria---the FC1 / JF17 would be the most advanced fighting equipment that ever showed up at their doorsteps available to them and they are happy as a cockerspaniel with his plate fuul of beefy delights---.

Hi,

My innocent young man---there would not have been a humanitarian crisis in Yemen if Pak military had gone in---.

They would have neutered the situation fast in an amicable manner so that the things would not go out of control---.

The HOUTHIS tragically got what they asked for---a humanitarian crisis of their own making---.

No one told them never to play proxy to Iran---.

No matter who uses the JF 17 and how many, the partner of the aircraft chose to produce Russian aircraft at home in China, the JF 17 is a specific product, you can buy it if you are looking for a product with this specification, if you have money and you want to build the infrastructure, their destination is already clear. In addition, Myanmar is a low cost country, even if it is not in Africa.

Hi,

Thank you for the comment---. You and I are talking something different---but I do appreciate your comment.

The target market has to conform to the type of fighter that the JF-17 Thunder is, which is light weight. Hence selling the Thunder to a country like Argentina or Indonesia, would not make sense, since both countries have vast territories to protect. Malaysia is geographically suitable for the JF-17 Thunder and it is a country which is relatively an economically sound state
But isn‘t China the main maritime advisory for both Countries ?

China is allied with Argentina against Britain. Britain banned Huawei so China sell JF-17 to Argentina to take Falklands from Britain.
I was talking about Malaysia and Indonesia relating to the infamous 9 Dash Line.

As for Argentina, The UK will lobby hard against any deal with Pakistan.

Not necessarily, that's what the Western media would like you to believe, it isn't the case however. In reality, China lays claim to South China Sea, which is in dispute with Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines and Brunei. But the same can be argued about "French" Polynesia (Pacific), "American" Guam (Pacific) and "British" Pitcairn Islands. If they can claim "Colonial Conquests" (like we are still in the Medieval Ages) then China can do the same. At least China didn't occupy a territory of indigenous population on any islands tens of thousands of kilometers away from its mainland territory.

Argentina and Indonesia have their own regional ambition, like any other state in the world. China can and is setting the precedence for collaborative relationship with all countries in its neighborhood. One basic principle of International Relations is to have your neighbors e in harmony with you, so your enemy doesn't take advantage of the divide to their advantage.

Time is on China's, Argentina's and Indonesia's side, not the West's. Sit tight and enjoy the show unraveling before your eyes. For you shall see China, Russia, Pakistan, Venezuela, Iran, Vietnam, Indonesia, Africa and the rest of the anti-West States emerge on the world stage as successful countries.

In February 2021, the first Pakistani fighter-bomber JF-17 Block 3 (2019 modification with AFAR KLJ-7A and wide-angle holographic display) will be delivered to Azerbaijan.
According to 1news.az , the Russian Voennoye Obozreniye writes about this, according to which, within 10 years, Baku will acquire 21 JF-17s from Pakistan.
Note that JF-17 is the Pakistani designation of the FC-1 aircraft, developed by this country together with China.

Azerbaijan is not the only state that has shown interest in Pakistani JF-17s. Iran, Zimbabwe, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Egypt, Lebanon, Malaysia, Morocco, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, Algeria and Sudan also want to buy them. Developed jointly by Pakistan and China, the JF-17 meets all modern requirements and is able to form the basis of a modern and powerful air force.
Serial production of the JF-17 Block 3 began in 2020. This version has, among other things, an air refueling system and a perfect radar. In particular, the Block 3 modification is equipped with an Active Electronically Scanned Array radar system, which gives the aircraft the ability to detect targets at long range, including against the background of the earth. In addition to the radar, the aircraft is equipped with several color displays in the cockpit and a helmet-mounted sight, which greatly facilitates piloting and air combat.

The AESA radar system - with an active phased array antenna - is the KLJ-7A manufactured by the China Electronics Technology Group Corporation (CETGC). The CETGC claims the KLJ-7A has similar characteristics to the radar used in the American fifth-generation F-35 fighters. In particular, with the help of the new radar, the JF-17 will be able to detect targets at a distance of up to 170 km and will have a combat advantage over the F-16 C / D and F-15 C / D base versions (not equipped with AFAR radars).
Tracking 15 air targets simultaneously and simultaneously "capturing" 4 targets puts the JF-17 Block 3 higher in capabilities than the Russian Su-30MKI, Su-35S, MiG-35, Indian Tejas Mk.2, and the French "Rafale" ... The aircraft has high maneuverability, has a modern new generation engine with increased thrust, carries almost 4 tons of combat load. It can carry short- and medium-range air-to-air missiles, bombs, anti-ship and anti-radar missiles, and outboard fuel tanks. There is a built-in 23 mm double-barreled cannon.

Doesn't sound very credible - first delivery this year, and full 21 over 10 years.

Since this news has been reported by different media websites, I shared it. Maybe some Azerbaijani friend can verify the credibility of the websites reporting this. I think we should wait till some other news media report this as well.
