What's new

Azerbadyan about to join T-129 Program!

.
Good for both Turkey and Azerbaijan..I expect to see them in Altay project too

It's nice news indeed but im worried about too many types of helicopters in Azerbaijan Army Aviation's inventory. We are going to have to start a modernization program for the Mi24/Mi35s in Azerbaijan to make them able to use same weapons with T129s and i think it won't be easy too

Anyway, it's sure as hell they won't have any problems getting CAS missions done :coffee:

An interesting video file at AgustaWestland official site:

No, Armenians have a strong lobby at Washington. The US congress will not approve Azerbaijan military procurements.
I think this competition is only to provide some play ground in terms of program cost! I am sure if Russia had no problem with selling Mi28N Azeries never bought Mi35 (updated Mil24). And that South African 1990 chopper is a powerful machine indeed, but nothing to do with the cutting edge technology of TAI & Agusta Westland.

.
I expect Azeri brothers go with T-129. This would be win-win for the both sides.

. .
they may prefer russian chopter. Russia has huge influence over azarbaijan. I hope they go with T 129 ofc.

How do you know Russia has a big influence on Azerbaijan ?

Russia is protecting and providing arms to Armenia, so I don't believe they'd pick Russians for this.
