Iraq seeking to facilitate second US-Iran meeting - Zebari

These meetings never took place and probably never will because Iran has nothing to do with the US. The sole purpose of these meetings probably would have been to influence Iran to minimize the transfer of Military equipment to Shi'ite militia's. Show me a report where Iranian officials took part in a meeting with the U.S officials and representatives from Iraq. Stop quoting Iraqi Shi'ite clerics and portraying them as Iranians because they're not.

Bush-Hakim Meeting: A Signal to Iran? | Newsweek.com

I hope these links are enough to enlighten your views.:D

Same thing with this article. The meeting never took place and if you read your "own" articles that you're providing for my enlightenment, you'd understand that the purpose of these hints was simply because Iran wants to be seen as a regional power in the region which can influence Shi'ite militia's in Iraq, which have been a problem for the US.

The Iranians "send a very clear message through Hakim," says the Iraqi official. "They want to be recognized and reckoned with."

Are you able to decipher this? Or I suppose you didn't even bother to read the articles?

American officials insist they still consider Hakim's fighters—along with Iraq's other militias—to be a danger to the stability of the Maliki government. A senior U.S. official in Baghdad, who did not want to be identified discussing sensitive diplomacy, said that during the meeting today Bush would reiterate his support for Maliki's government, and press Hakim to help "fix the militia problem."

Once again, start reading the articles you're providing for other people's enlightenment. These meetings weren't planned because "Iran supports the US in Iraq" (A laughable statement by you) but simply because the Iraqi clergy and the US wants less Iranian influence on the Shi'ite militia's who're causing a trouble for the Government of Iraq and which lead to the Shi'ite-Sunni insurgency. Iran provides military aid and equipment to the Shi'ite insurgency across the border which in return has caused numerous problems for the Iraqi government and the US troops in Iraq.

Last reply to you my friend, you have nothing to offer to this debate. It's pretty much like talking to a brick wall.

TTP was creation of drone attacks and getting more grip of FATA due to continues drone attacks.

Pushtoon have tradition of revenge dont you know , but your are turi not pushtoon ?

I will have to disagree here, TTP was not a reaction for drone attacks.
It is only claimed by those who are just anti US and do not see the complete picture in their anger against US.

TTP or its current and deceased (thanks to Allah) leaders had started brewing trouble much before the drone attacks and their incursion into SWAT and the presence of TTP in SWAT was no reaction to drone attacks.

Is it not funny that as a reaction to drone attacks they slaughtered innocents Pakistanis and Muslims whereas the drones were American?
Can they take on US?
They are masters in getting young brainwashed children do the killing and sitting behind posing for pictures and threatening the innocent public with executions, bombings etc.
When faced man to man in combat they were made to run like dogs in SWAT so they are not the noble warriors they claim to be...they are dirty rotten scumbags and will say anything to survive.

Can you not see through the excuses of TTP to exist and thrive on the anti US sentiment whilst weakening and destroying Pakistan?
You at least should suspect the motives of TTP instead of giving them reason for existence.

I know many people in FATA and majority know TTP for being a big criminal corporation...please do in depth analysis of TTP, i am sure you will not believe in their excuses.

Please do not sympathize with these monsters, your country and thousands of its dead man, women and children demand of you to never ever sympathize with TTP.

The head of Mossad, Israel’s overseas intelligence service, has assured Benjamin Netanyahu, its prime minister, that Saudi Arabia would turn a blind eye to Israeli jets flying over the kingdom during any future raid on Iran’s nuclear sites.

Earlier this year Meir Dagan, Mossad’s director since 2002, held secret talks with Saudi officials to discuss the possibility.

The Israeli press has already carried unconfirmed reports that high-ranking officials, including Ehud Olmert, the former prime minister, held meetings with Saudi colleagues. The reports were denied by Saudi officials.

“The Saudis have tacitly agreed to the Israeli air force flying through their airspace on a mission which is supposed to be in the common interests of both Israel and Saudi Arabia,” a diplomatic source said last week.

Although the countries have no formal diplomatic relations, an Israeli defence source confirmed that Mossad maintained “working relations” with the Saudis.

John Bolton, the former US ambassador to the United Nations who recently visited the Gulf, said it was “entirely logical” for the Israelis to use Saudi airspace.

Bolton, who has talked to several Arab leaders, added: “None of them would say anything about it publicly but they would certainly acquiesce in an overflight if the Israelis didn’t trumpet it as a big success.”

Arab states would condemn a raid when they spoke at the UN but would be privately relieved to see the threat of an Iranian bomb removed, he said.

Referring to the Israeli attack on an alleged Syrian nuclear facility in 2007, Bolton added: “To this day, the Israelis haven’t admitted the specifics but there’s one less nuclear facility in Syria . . .”

Recent developments have underscored concerns among moderate Sunni Arab states about the stability of the repressive Shi’ite regime in Tehran and have increased fears that it may emerge as a belligerent nuclear power.

“The Saudis are very concerned about an Iranian nuclear bomb, even more than the Israelis,” said a former head of research in Israeli intelligence.

The Israeli air force has been training for a possible attack on Iran’s nuclear site at Natanz in the centre of the country and other locations for four years.

In the mid-18th century, in the deserts of Arabia, a radical by the name of Mohammed ibn Abd Al-Wahhab began spreading a twisted ideology in the name of monotheism, which was to change the face of mainstream Islam. Abd Al-Wahhab maintained the belief that all other forms of Islam were “bid’a” or “innovation”, and labelled followers of the Sunni, and particularly the Shi’a sects as heretics. As such, he and his band of followers felt it their duty to punish those who went against their warped dogma, sometimes in the most brutal ways. He and his horde of bandits travelled to modern Iraq, and plundered the shrines of Imam Ali (AS) in Najaf, Imam Hussain (AS) in Karbala, demolished them and slaughtered the citizens of the Holy cities. They then went on to destroy various other shrines around Iraq; the Kadhimayn in Baghdad and the shrine of Imam al-Askari in Samarra'.

As his support grew and he began to spread his doctrine, Abd Al-Wahhab came across a tribal chieftain by the name of Mohammed bin Sa’ud, after he and his followers were exiled from a town for burying a local women up to her head in the sand, and stoning her to death. The two forged an alliance, sealed with the marriage of al-Sa’ud’s son to Abd Al-Wahhab’s daughter.

As al-Sa’ud rose to prominence and seized control of Arabia with the help of the British, the Wahhabi doctrine so too grew. Wahhabism has become indoctrinated in the state religion, and has overshadowed the true Islam. The Saudi royal family sought to spread Wahhabism, and destroy anything that went against it. This was evident when al-Sa’ud destroyed al-Baqee’, the resting place of the Prophet’s (PBUH) closest relatives and companions.

Today, the Saudi-Wahhabi ideology continues to blight the Muslim world. It’s stranglehold over mainstream Islam is the most worrying problem Muslims face today. Saudi Arabia has spent $17 billion in the last 30 years propagating Wahhabism; funding mosques, bribing Imams, and sponsoring schools, ensuring the scourge lives on for generations. Wahhabis now are as dangerous as their forefathers; they continue to slaughter Shi’a in Iraq, Pakistan and Afghanistan, and they still kill indiscriminately in the name of Islam.
