Attack on Srilankan cricket team in Lahore

Dark star,
I dont know how can even expect something remotly human coming out of any politician of our region. they make their life out of spreading hate.
But i would love to see a good statement coming out of prime minister. To say they support pakistan in this case.

Of course Pakistan is responsible. It is not culpable, but responsible. It is the rensponsibility of the state to ensure safety and security, no matter who is meddling from teh outside.

We must wake up and smell the coffee, so to speak. This takfiri neo kharjite phenomenon is a reality, and their ideology of terror has presedence. Read about what these so called jihadists ended up doing in Algeria. Pakistan is going down the exact route.

This war can only be won if we have the will to fight. The terrorists see that we are weak willed, which gives them a feeling of impunity.

Pakistan should take courage, dismantle terror facilities: Pranab

Tue, Mar 3 01:59 PM

New Delhi, March 3 (IANS) India Tuesday said unless Pakistan completely dismantles the terrorism infrastructure on its territory, incidents like the attack on Sri Lankan cricketers in Lahore would continue to take place.

External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee told reporters here that Pakistan must 'take courage in both hands' to tackle the terrorism infrastructure and appealed to the international community to act to address terrorism, which he described as the 'biggest menace' in the world today.

Reacting to the attack on Sri Lankan cricketers in Lahore's Gaddafi stadium, in which six players were injured, Mukherjee said: 'The terrorism infrastructure facilities available in Pakistan must be completely dismantled and the perpetrators (of the attacks) brought to justice, otherwise perpetration of these types of incidents will take place.

'I request the Pakistani authorities not to divert the attention of the international community, but to take courage in both hands and dismantle the terrorism infrastructure and take stiff measures against the perpetrators. Only then will such issues be adequately addressed.'

'The international community will have to address the issue of terrorism,' Mukherjee said, adding 'terrorism is taking place in different parts of the world. Terrorism is the biggest menace in the post World War II era and should be tackled.'

Ireespective of the nationalities, first of all its who early to predict but whatever their goal was it has been achieved and have tarnished the image of Pakistan.

The irony is that as per the reports they kept on firing for 25 minutes and none of them were either caught or apprehended, by keeping previous record we might not be able to capture them now.

I salute to security personnel who lost their lives, may Allah give them the best place in heaven and give courage to their families. But the question remains where the terrorist have fled.

Oh yes Indian crap leaders have something to vomit their hate against Pakistan :tsk:

You have to act. Striking peace deal is not the way but cowardice. You have a big military. If this doesnt make you act, I dont know what will.

Doesn't that sound like a threat?

sir foo,
pakistan will face same dilemma as India faced- we have a big military and the will too.
But who should we attack ????

Get over India Pakistan for once. India is not your enemy. Keeping looking towards east while you have a dwindling west is just as foolish.

I really condemn these attacks in a extreme possible manner. from now on no country will travel to Pakistan to play a cricket or any other sports match so, by doing this cowardly act indirectly Pakistan Economy will be hurt in a big way.

The terrorists have got what they wanted to place a muddy bad dark dot on Pakistan and try to declare this state a terrorist state which is greatly condemnable by any possible means.

We all should stand against it and try to solve this problem whatever we all can do instead of talking here and blaming each other.

Lastly if India or Indian Raw agency really involved in this act if this gets clear in future after the investigation then in that case Pakistan should take a strong stance against India or Indians agency whoever involved just like India did after Mumbay attacks.

Again it's a very sad news and those Police Jawaans were great who sacrifice their lives I Salute them May God blessed them Jannat.

No i don't think it was meant to be warning or threat.
Paranb mukhrjee might not be too smart but he is not that dumb for sure. to make a threat at such global level.

My question is, how long does it take to surround liberty round about? It seems that if there had been a proper security cordon after the first few minutes of the attacks, the terrorists would not have escaped. There are not that many small lanes and roads. What do you think, the terrorists were hiding in the 'dupatta gali'?

the 'double sawari' ban on motorcycles had been in place for quite a number of years, although I am not aware if the ban is still in place as we speak.

These days terrorists don't need motorbikes, they seem happy to come in rickshaws, hijacked cars, etc.

The only answer is to fully investigate, find the perpetrators, and send some encounter specialists to knock on their doors.

most of the time if not ALL the time it is gunmen on motorbikes though it's much easier getaway method compared to a car or rickshaw easy to escape with through traffic, narrow lanes etc and much easier to attack from basically any direction even from behind unlike cars/rickshaws aswell as the fact they're never searched like cars it's no 1 mode of transport for them imo best thing is to completely ban them from certain areas period.

India had to attack Pakistan. That is bizarrly different compared to who Pakistan needs to fight. Its within their sovereign territory. If naxals had done something like this within India. We would have manslaughtered them. You cant spend time "understanding" terrorists. THey are fanatics.
