How similar is it in dimensions to German DM2A4 heavyweight torpedo? Both Pak and Turkish Navy use that...maybe going forward they can switch to this.

Acc to my consideration, Akya will be better than DM2A4 because the Zargana torpedo defense system developed by Aselsan has succesfully jammed German DM2A4 Turkish Navy operates. Greek Navy has selected DM2A4 torpedos for thr U-214 submarines which is a perfect news for us. In this aspect, The signal processing algorithms and guidance modes of Akya must be arranged not to be jammed by superior soft kill acoustic sensors Turkish institutes have developed. That’s why Akya has three different sensor guidance modes and more advanced signal processors to find the targets precisely.

The range is not known yet but torpedos mostly have different range figures depending upon different speeds

If you manage to explode more than 300kg highly explosive warhead under the keel of an enemy warship, Just prepare youself to watch the ceremony while eating pop-corns. If the enemy don’t have a national soft/hard kill torpedo defence capability, then It will cause an endless nightmare for enemy. One stone, one shot, hundreds of enemy ! Torpedos are the most feared striking assets of naval warfare so Not many nations have capability to develop and produce them. A SSM can not sink a warship at one shot but one torpedo will be more than enough !

Turkey has started to sharpen its teeth with more strategic domestic missile systems. The new threat perception that was appeared at stand off ranges and establishment of offshore Turkish military bases oblige us to develop more strategic longer range missile systems and so Turkey is preparing to introduce a few of them in following period. Today, Some of them were spotted under the cover.
