I like Atkin's presentation, but the idea of opening and turning walls on their axels, with hundreds of thousands pouring through their corners does not feel right.

I feel we need something that does not involve motion to accomodate another half a million to 1 million pilgrims.

Is the Saudi government still deciding between the design proposals it has received?

very high tech..but touching the Turkish arcade has the potential of sparking a war!
Secondly why do we have to depend on west?? They are merely recycling the construction fundamentals established Muslim civilization..shame..utter shame!

I also feel there is a great danger of congestion in phase 1, as all the innocent pilgrims will try to go through the attractive, convenient opening doors [to come in and go out] for the blessed tawaf. Dont you think.
