Even in India calorie intake is falling while purchasing power is increasing.
There are many factors for reduced calorie intake like urban relocation, less labor intensive work force, increasing costs for transportation, eating out etc.
Ami vabtesi ze, zei desher 70 koti manusher toilet nai, sei desher manush kan Bangladesh er unnoyon nia giayn bitoron korte aisa pore .
Duniyate khali binodon ar binodon.
True, calorie intake decline is mostly related to shifting away from grain to animal protein.More and more people in India and Bangladesh is switching from labor intensive life to sedentary lifestyle. So calorie demand has declined somewhat.Plus rising income of some segment of population means they are affording to eat less calorie intensive grain and consuming more animal protein which are low in calorie than grain. But this phenomenon will reverse soon. Both in India and Bangladesh, calorie intake will start rising again when animal protein intake and other processed food intake will overwhelm declining grain intake with rising per capita income and prosperity for bigger and bigger share of population.
