View attachment 477832Regarding, the idea of irrigation project, it was first perceived in 1937 during British rule. Originally, the project plan approved in 1953 during Pakistan period. Then through a lot of hurdles project implemented in 1990.
So,initially idea perceived during british rule , go through the feasibility and design phase during Pakistan era with help of Haigh Zinn and associates in 1960 and Binnie and partners in 1968.
After independence , expert from water development board and BUET jointly reviewed the previous report and implemented in 1990.
