If, as you claim, the 'k' version is considered acceptable, can you show me its usage in any mainstream media?

Remember, it was hindi-cheeni-bhai-bhai. not the 'k' version.

lol dude you're asking me provide you examples of media usage of a colloquial everyday use word.

It's a casual word.

"Hindi Chini Bhai Bhai" was a formal slogan.

"Chink/Chinky" is a casual, take-it-easy kind of word.

And media doesn't use such words.

Here you go crying again. There is a Report button for a purpose and you don't need High IQ to identify and use it..

You seem to be more obsessed about IQ then speeder

Why don't they if its so casual? Nigger is casual between black people too. Still not supposed too use it because it is still a racial slur.

That is a very good question. I'd be interested to see that as well.

Hindi-Cheeni bhai bhai was only for people of China, not for all of the mongoloid race. "Chinky" is not used specifically for Chinese, its used for even Indians with mongoloid features, or a vietnamese, or a korean, or a japanese.

P.S: Am not saying it is OK to use "chinky" here on PDF, since here English is used, and in English "Chinky" is a racial slur.

Can you show me the word "Bharti" in mainstream Pakistani media ?

Well, that is cleared up then. :)

I would be quite shocked though, if I ever came across an incident of someone using this word by "accident". In my personal experience at least, it always seems to be deliberate and followed up with extra gravy words that are too rude to write out again.

What kind of question is that? Officials and mainstream media don't use colloquialisms.

My own parents and friends have used the word "chinky" in a colloquial manner and they are not racist. Even I used it before I came to the West.

Officials and mainstream media don't use colloquialisms.

No, but if it really is a common slang, then there should be thousands if not millions of examples. It doesn't have to be official media.

Though in my experience, the media does often talk about slang terms, the Chinese phrase "gei li" being a recent example.

There's a world of difference: when south Asians call each other curry, like when blacks call each other the n-word, it's considered acceptable. But when the word is used by an outsider, it becomes racist.

I am sure Chinese people call each other some funny name, but it would not be appropriate for an outsider to use that word.

I have never quite understood why is it ok for black guys to call themselves the n word, but its racist for others to use it.

As i said earlier just calling someone "curry" doesn't make it a racist slur. Curries at least don't seem to mind being called curries by anyone. Thats what I have seen in schools and university. After that people mature enough and don't need such words to address anyone.

Also we have gone way off topic

I will if my English proficiency ever reaches your level.

Then you surely need to visit as you are way above the qualification marks..

You're thinking of yourself here. Its not a surprise though. Mental patients often project their issues on others.

yes I agree with you Mental patients often project their issues on others. That's why the advise don't miss the next dose and next doc visit.

It is diffucult to prove, and I'm not sure if I can do it. I am just saying that not all Indians may understand the significance of "chinky" as a racist term, that is all. It's kind of like "paki". Some consider it racist and others just consider it a shortened version of "Pakistani".
