What's new

As a Christian, suddenly I am a stranger in my own country, writes Julio Ribeiro

Any idiot can join the party online. That means nothing. That is not real membership. What benefits do members get if they simply join online? How does it actually help the party? Nada!
And history has an uncanny tendency to repeat itself. IF BJP sticks to strict and good governance and stops its ministers from making jokers out of themselves, then they might stand a chance in the next elections.

It helps the party because every one off these members may help the party in their own way. It is FAR better than NOT having any members  ........ or do you think that is better ?

BJP is not here to rule forever  ........... a good 10 year run is what they are looking at. Maybe 15 years if the going is good. I do not see anything that will endanger that. All the "minority" and "secular" news bites cannot disguise the TRUTH. Satyameva jayate.

People (the electorate) has given them a chance. Better behave and deliver. If not, there are other parties.

LOL. They are behaving exactly the way the electorate WANT them to behave. There are always other parties. They all joined hands to defeat BJP with a "secular" coalition, What happened ? :coffee: ...... People overwhelmingly voted for BJPl. So stop pretending to be the spokesperson for the people. BJP are the real spokespersons for us.

What difference does it make? If a person wants to convert or follow another religion, why stop him/her? What sense does it make to threaten people from following a faith of their choice? If someone promises you something better in certain aspects, wouldnt you take that?
Anyway, if the NGOs are doing good work, I dont see a problem in letting them do that. Stopping them just shows one's bigotry and insecurity.

I second that, but why they cried foul when Hindus started Ghar wapsi? You can't have one yardstick for yourself and a different one for others. One cannot have a monopoly on conversion.

As far as NGO are concerned only those were banned who didn't filed the details of their funding to the government.

You must be kidding? Gharwapsi is illegal. Period

Hindus cannot convert others, conversion is the birth right of only Abrahamic religions

Just this one term, like Vajpayee's govt. I doubt they will be able to repeat the victory in the next elections. Place bets if you want.
I have lots of followers on my twitter and facebook. LOOK I am popular and people love me!! Thats precisely what BJP is saying with those numbers!! Do those numbers mean anything? Do the members get any perks? Does the party get any guidance or input from those numbers? Do those members help in the functioning of the party? Are they bound by the rules of the party? I think not.

You mean 31% of the electorate who actually voted? It was unfortunate that rest of the votes got distributed and divided between unworthy parties. But its only a matter of time. And 5 years is a long time to set things in order &/or form solid alliances.
BJP are not our spokespersons. I dont want nutcases who reroute wind from their rear ends as brain farts and pass them around as intelligent conversations.
Oh, just FYI, I am not at all fan of the Congress, at this time.

Fair enough. Rest all I agree.
