Ah the Irony when you have to flaunt the ONLY "Hindu" police women to show there is no RELIGIONS BIAS in a polarised political environment.

If really religion had no role to play, then how is her gender or her religion important ? Why was she interviewed instead of the chief investigating officer ? ...... what outstanding Hypocrisy.

On 23 January, the government of Jammu and Kashmir assigned the investigation to the crime branch.

The SIT functioned under supervision of Inspector Generals of Police (IGPs) of Crime, Aloke Puri and Syed Ahfadul Mujtaba, besides Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Crime Branch Jammu Ramesh Kumar Jalla. Headed by Additional Superintendent of Police (SP) Crime Naveed Pirzada, it had Deputy SP Shwetambri, Sub Inspector Irfan Wani, Inspector KK Gupta and Assistant Sub Inspector of Police Tariq Ahmad as its members.

On 9 April, amid demands of shifting the investigation to the CBI from families of the accused and their sympathisers, the SIT filed two charge-sheets against the accused before the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) holding eight of the accused guilty of rape, murder, kidnapping, wrongful confinement, criminal conspiracy and destroying of evidences.

1. the first forensic report has no rape mentioned.
2. There is still no forensic evidence that rape happened.
3. The boy who was supposed to have raped the girl was 500 miles away in Bihar giving his exams.
4. the temple basement where the girl was held captive is a single room temple in middle of town with open windows and no basement.
5. Not a trace of assault on girl in temple premises found.
6. All the police have at this point is the confession of the boy and men whom they had in custody for months.

let me know at what point should we just say, let a more competent agency handle this and get justice for Asifa.

it remind me a resent case near delhi school where a class 11 student stabed & murder a boy in school and local police made the bus driver to confess the crime....it was the CBi which creck the case...
