Army to get 44 MBT-2000 tanks

Buddy AK is our product not that MBT-2000 upon which we made a AK for us with Chinese cooperation and Norinco's experience came in to play.Now that's their product.All that can happen here is that if there is something Norinco is sharing which can be used or is used on the upgrades that are planned for Al-Khalid series.They will ask for a nod from our side.....that's it.

Profit sharing will come only if AK enters the arena.(That's the difference we'll have here if we put it parallel to the chengdu's product "JFT".)

mbt-2000 is basically a downgraded export version of HIT built AK... with chinese systems,HIT design n configuration.

You could tell that AK is a upgraded version of MBT-2000.

With the exception on Place of Origin.
Norinco produces MBT-2000 as export variants.
AL Khalid is the variant produced in Pakistan.

Now the question is how our army will customize it .....

MBT-2000 is Norinco's Type 90-IIM.So it's their domestic product.How we are going to share the profits??Please explain.
AK is our product.IMO profit sharing is not worth thinking about here.That happened before too with Peru's consignment.
IMO likewise we can market AK just as freely and without any sharing. Cheers!

Bangladesh army always went for heavy modernization of their tanks. 270 Type 59 is upgraded to 59G which is better than Al zarrar. 250 Type 69 upgraded to type 69 mk2 G is basically type 96. and 44 now mbt 2000. I am sure in future they will add highest possible technology available for MBT 20O0.So now we have 600 modern tanks... Cheers.

I was thinking about that, thought it might derail the topic.
Ofcourse this procurements are totally unnecessary if you ask my opinion.
Is it to counter balance India? Well, considering AL that would be weird.
Is it Myanmar? May be.
Is it for corruption? May be.

Now that the economy is in a shaky position they could have opted
for this deals 2-3 years later.

I'm still in for a stronger air-defense, tanks in this muddy terrains
are just not worth it. Specially as they'll be deployed towards hilly areas.
