Army Chief to address nation on 6th September

Albeit i understand that Cherry is not a common fruit in subcontinent but somehow the Indians have become experts in cherry picking. It's somewhat hilarious to witness how they keep building hope that any comment from White House will turn into a crescendo of thundering fury only to realise later that in the end it's the poor Indians themselves who turn giddy as if repeatedly being hit with knock out punches, i mean how the Indian media carried the news on US withholding the military funds to Pakistan as if Beef has been banned in Pakistan only to get an egg in the face with Bell given the approval by the US Government to supply the Viper Gunships to Pakistan. As for regional scenario and developments, no guessing who is feeling being sidelined again.

India rebuffs Afghanistan on strategic meet - The Hindu
watch Indian media will sell the same tweet as if it had anything to do with HS or Dawood, whereas it was meant for Afghan taliban hiding in north waziristan where we are already sending jets and soldiers.
and to clarify any innocent confusion Pakistan also clarified that now NATO/ Afghan forces were to do their bit on their side of border as well.
America has clearly shown that it supports Pakistan peace effort between Afghan regime and Afghan Taliban (which some buttfcked haters sabotaged by directing back to back attacks on Kabul) hopefully Pakistan also gives evidence of Indian destructive involvement against Ghani as well in addition to its subversive activities inside Pakistan

salaam saeen ji agar ghulaam jaan ki amaan paye to ek masoomana swaal kerne ki ijazat chahta hai .... kya izajat milegi :azn:

Constitutionally, Army Chief is even below the rank of a HC judge.... but that doesn't matter........ it's the way Pakistan and Pakistani's roll! :D

A prime minister or president should address the nation about the progress and problem of the nation not a army chief. A army chief is bellow the rank of full minister in order of presidesnce yet he is given the task of prime minister ,

Looks like, Nawaz is here to build up some property cause Gen is the man doing everything.

Just an observation, any peace intiatives in the region always get sabotaged. Some terrorist attacks in India or Afghanistan or a Kargil or some such.

This is clearly weakness of Afghan and Indian agencies that they have to orchestrate these attacks on their own soil to sabotage those talks.

No it didn't. Stop lying. Or at least prove from UN website itself that is removed from the list of unresolved issues.
Lying? So I've made all this up? Read this....

Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Attique Ahmed Khan has urged upon the UN secretary general to restore the dispute over Jammu and Kashmir in the agenda of the Security Council.

“Off-loading its mention from the agenda of the Security Council militates against the logic and mandate of the UN itself”, he said in a statement here.

Funny he says this if it wasn't the case!

UN has removed Kashmir from their list of unresolved disputes in 2010 (read last two lines under 'Jammu and Kashmir' in the link below):

Gen Raheel Shareef is the Prime Leader if not "Prime Minister". I would wait to listen to him.

On side note, Pakistan is still under a war against terrorism and on previous victory day, I would want to hear another good news that Pakistan has completed and won this war as well.

Let the critics say what they want Sir, the relationship over security and other matters between Pakistan and USA will continue in the region for mutual benefit. Both sides have no other options but each other in many important matters.

IF Gen Raheel and Nawaz Shareef would deliver their speeches on different channels simultaneously, 95% Nation and 99% of world audience would listen to Gen Raheel Shareef.

i doubt this news. our ARMY CHIEF is a through professional soldier he will not like to come out and give press briefs.

he might address the TROOPS that might be viewed on live tv.

Sabeen Mahmud also failed to attend.

Any way, I know the COAS has earned a lot of respect from Pakistanis and I'm sure he deserves it. However, the long term solution is NOT a person but institutions and such actions will only weaken the democratic setup further. If this happened in India, then I'd oppose it tooth and nail.

Unrelated, but I always chuckle at ''Defence Day'' that started with Operation Gibraltor!!!
Do you also chuckle at coffin scandal of Indians after Kargirl war?

Mere aziz hum watnon!!! :D

On a serious note though, I don't know why people are looking too much into it.

The COAS has given speeches before on occasions like 14 August (Azadi Parade) and also on 23 March and such...6 Sept might be a first in recent memory but it's not like he is giving a speech from PM House on PTV in a formal environment or anything.

It'll probably be a speech just like many before to a bunch of senior serving and retired officers in PMA or GHQ or wherever.

No sense in you guys getting defensive about it.

Apology now when he's been hauled up over the coals means nothing. Fact is, in the heat of the moment, your national hero came this close to being shot out of hand on a busy street in a major city of yours, and there was nothing anyone could have done about it later.

Pakistan has a gun culture. India, happily, barring some concerning outliers like New Delhi increasingly, does not.

Apparently RSS extremists do not need guns to publicly lynch people.

Or to cut the guts out of pregnant women with their swords as was the case in Gujrat.

Serious advice for you, drop this "holier than thou" attitude and instead of concentrating Pakistan's problems, clean your own evil "untouchables" who have become so powerful that they can even become PM there.
