I'm living in Gulf since years as a resident with the family. I do have frequent interactions with Arabs, Iranians, the western goras and the Indians.

Regarding CPEC, Gulf countries are much much much more insecure than the Iran. Many Gulf countries openly supports Balochistan independence and Dubai offered home to the so called separatists leaders like Harbyar Marri, Brahamdagh Bugti, etc etc. This hospitality isn't possible without the Government / agencies of the UAE & GCC. In UAE not a bird can fly without the approval of the regime, so how can these BLA BLF terrorists living & doing businesses in UAE.

A couple of weeks ago I posted an article from Al Jazeera (Qatar government) about the rights of Pashtuns in Pakistan.

I did so because it gave the impression that Qatar wants to undermine CPEC by writing about the rights of Pashtuns, and in other articles by praising PTM.

Now I found an article from an UAE newspaper (known to be pro-government).
In this article they write about the Baloch in Pakistan and their opposition to CPEC.

So, do you think that Gulf countries are afraid of or threatened by CPEC, especially Gwadar, because it will be a tough competition for them? Which they might lose?
And therefore try to slander CPEC or Pakistan in a more subtile way through their media?

There are a lot of Indians in ME, and many of these newspapers are staffed by Indians. So such biased articles aren't necessarily the opinions of the ME governments, but just a bunch of Indians doing what they love doing - trying to cause harm to Pakistan and Pakistani interests.
