Are East Asians inherently more neat and tidy than South Asians?

Most of East Asia is rich and developed while no South Asian country is rich or developed.

Until I see a South Asian country that can become rich and developed, East Asia will be superior to South Asia.

I just don't believe South Asia is capable of achieving what East Asia has achieved.

It's changing slowly tho right buddy? I think there are more and more folks who are being more proactive now.

It's quite complicated. For instance, in school, a kid can be punished for dropping litter. At the end of every week, there's a special time allocated to clean the classroom and before the lesson start, there's again 30 minutes to clean the classrooms in the morning. In Sri Lanka houses and gardens are maintained properly. It's not a new tradition. Despite this, we still see people litter in some places shamelessly. And the other is that not many people seem to understand the importance of keeping our cities (not just houses) clean. So I hope as more and more people study/work abroad, the situation will improve. I think this comes from ambition.

Haha. Funny you mentioned that buddy; I had a friend who's parents immigrated to Japan from India back in the late 1970s, but my friend and his 3 siblings were born in Japan. They're Japanese citizens. Well I remember him telling me that the first time he ever visited India in 1999, it was a culture shock for him because the society was different to how he was used to in Japan. My buddy Gurvir was telling me how he even had difficulty talking to his cousins (mind you he is not fluent in Punjabi, and is fluent only in Japanese).

I was laughing when he was telling me that his cousins nick named him "Japani" LOL

We can also imagine another situation.Though quite imaginary but it would be possible in such circumstances.Suppose that was a Japanese couples that decided to settle in India what would be their behaviour?
A Japanese the born in India and live like an Indian in Indian society cant even think about Japan and its clean culture.

Here are various similarities which Asians have with one another, regarding personal hygiene.

I'm using myself as an example.

When entering the home we leave our outdoor footwear at the door, and put on indoor footwear so not bring in filth and dirt from the outside into our homes. The Japanese and East Asians do this.

When going to the toilet, especially the messy version we clean with a biddet, after the conventional dry cleaning. The Japanese have made this an art form lol. I'm currently in the process of ordering my new Japanese toilet haha.

We wash our hands thoroughly before handling food ideas, or when beginning to eat. All Asians do this.

Keeping animals (dogs etc) outdoors or in separate areas, so not to mess up living space.

Whenever I stain my clothes with food, ink anything, I will wash it out immediately or change my clothes. The Japanese do this a great deal as well.

People can't deny there are differences in IQ among different races no matter how much of a sensitive topic it maybe, I think we all like to believe everyone is equal but putting all the political correctness aside, there are big differences in IQ among races. I think its important to discuss the averages since there will be smart and dumb people of all races.

Very interesting debate and I agree to it partially because this is dependent on the characteristic (such as age, educational background, economical status etc) of the sample you have selected for the behavioral impact study who had undergone environmental change or changes. As you mentioned in your post that how Pakistanis and Indians exhibit neatness which is related to their "new" environment...an interesting question to ask is what behavior change a westerner would exhibit in a different environment/Country (for example in Pakistan or India) ... would his/her behavior overtime will start to mimic the locals? Would he/she break the red light signal as some of the locals do etc? If NOT then why?

well, if it is well researched paper, I dont see why he will face hostility in scientific community.Ordinary people might misinterpret it. Many scientists however sound like as* the moment they go outside their area of expertise. You might be a nobel winning scientist, but you might have worskplace ideas of 70s and 80s.
Social sciences are not hobby, just because you are an awsome astrophysist, your ideas about removing poverty need not be top class.

Hmm. A lot of bad people that have done horrible things in our earth history and present have very high IQ and are smart.
