So why the Fu*k pakistanis have this inferiorty complex towards arabs? i just dont get it. how can you think of somebody as supeior because of their ethnicity?

its not ethnicity, its from my observation related to islam, and its the maulvi logic of revering the arab language thus by extension arabs, because many normal pakistani's are sincere to islam, but are told that the sincerest muslims are those who are arabs, causes confusion, what first to them, being a good pakistani? or being a good muslim (arab?)

Pakistani's ancestors were more progressive and intelligent than arabs ancestors(indus valley civilisation, vedic civilisation just to name a few examples). Pakistanis still to this day are more progressive and intelligent than arabs.

They think that just because Islam originated from that region, somehow those people are a step above them.

It didn't use to be like this but since all this Arab appeasement started, a large number of Pakistani's fell into this trap of admiring those who should not be admired.

We are much better than most and we proved that by carving out own country from others and developing it.

It's time to change the national discourse and put these people where they belong.

Muslim does not= arab.those pakistanis who think that obviously have mental issues.

we can be proud pakistanis and proud muslims at the same time. being a proud muslim does not mean to lose your self respect and dignity!

good, spread the word, its not so much about self respect, its about self reliance and looking to yourself instead of others for solutions and the way forward.

We did, We have parts of Afghanistan, Balochistan, Punjab, Kashmir and even Sindh was affiliated with places like Rajashtan.

So we have a nation carved our of other neighboring countries and we created its sum total called Pakistan.

Right.i thought you meant we carved pakistan out from india.

Rubbish! That's meaningless dog doo do - Read the damn article and like the moderator says, "grow a pair" -- It's Arbis who have been shitting on the rest of the Muslim world ever since they got to eqate Islam with their empire --- Pakistanis have bent over backwards to help these peoole out, and in return have had our dignity and respect ocrapped on by these savages --- and then of course there is the smalll matter of perpetuating a sectarian genocide --- I don't know develpero, start think straight - cruel to be kind (in the right measure) , mean that we love them them, it is a kindness to wake them from this hubris and from sectarian hate and genocide -- Do you understand what they have in mind?? Will you want future genration sto recall Pakistani army under Wahabi ordrs, as those who perpetrated genocide on fellow Muslims?

The original article is blatantly racist and talks about 'Arabs' as an ethnicity. We all agree that Pakistan should steer clear of appeasement and look out for our own interests. If the discussion were limited to Wahhabism, I would agree, but I don't feel comfortable demonizing all Arabs. I have no problem with ordinary Egyptian or Syrian people.

To become a great nation and to regain a good image internationally, we must concentrate on educate and education alone. Think about it, our people are hardworking, strong and resilient.

We have consistently proved that even with limited resources, we can achieve things that others could not achieve in their lifetime.

Once we have an educated and tolerant population, we will have the required ideals to work together and make Pakistan a greater nation, the way it was meant to be.

We have produced many firsts in our region and for our religion, but we went on the wrong path since that Bhutto and Zia wrecked our nation.

However, we are still here even after so much pain, we can rise again.

The common Arab person will not bash Pakistan in any public forum, unlike some other people the article suggests to be closer to.

Most Syrians, Lebanese, Jordanians, Iraqis could care less about what happens in Pakistan and what Pakistanis do in their country. These people dont wish bad for Pakistan and are not our enemies.

We already know who are the ill-wishers of Pakistan and who hates the very existence of Pakistan and its not Arabs.

Once we have an educated and tolerant population

TFaz

When educated and reasonable, sane ideas are propagated in public, just like vile and hateful ideas, they become contagious -- recall on one of Rabzon's threads, there is a piece about the role of the media and how Pakistani media perpetguate vile and hateful ideas by giving those ideas a venue to be dessiminated -- VCheng was persuaded by lack of education, lack of social mobility as drivers of radicalism, and we pointed out that neither Bin Laden nor Al-Zawahiri are poor and that in fact Al-Qaida's core are from the best familes, ben to best schools, etc, etc -- consider that we have an echo of the conversation in TT, here - most interesting.

Just as being poor and uneducated does not mean being persuaded by hateful and vile ideas, it's not Education alone that can/will lead to a tolerant Pakistan, it starts by limiting the dissemination of hateful and vile ideas in Pakistani society -- it means taking a stand, "growing a pair" as some one has said -this is who we are and this is what we stand for and THIS IS WHAT WE OPPOSE!

its more than education though, its not a magic formula to all ill's.

we may end up being liberal, educated but still corrupt, look at some of our politicians.

there are factors like mentality, values and morals which can also set us aside us being truly on the path to progression!!

Let's not bring India into the discussion. I still don't understand why the original author mentioned India.
