Arab-Iran growing tensions: Possible solution?

My intention was not to troll you Sir.

The topic is the problem, with no credible solution possible.

I admire your effort and wish that you are rewarded for it.

Perhaps that is a better way to say the same thing I said above. Apologies if you did not like the previous post.

The simple and only solution to Iran- Arab problem: Regime Change

Either get rid of the Saudi Monarchs or the Iranian Theocracy or better yet both.

Will it happen? No chance.

no need for apologies but i would like to say every problem comes up with solution, main problem with the both countries is Sectarian Govt just need to change their attitude and Problem solved. I am not saying they become liberal but at least they should stop thinking other sects a direct threat. trust building measures is the need of time, just few steps with powerful mediators and every thing will be sorted out.

If they realize for once, that who is getting benefit from their misery then they will be actually able to do something. I don't know for how much decades they need to get out of their hate with each other!

The problem is not the attitude. The problem is the strongly held religious beliefs that regard the other party as misguided. Changing this position is taken as a direct attack on their interpretation of Islam, hence impossible. When religions guide personal lives, they are great. When religions run countries and shape their foreign and defense policies, this is the inevitable result.

Both trying to secure their assets in Iraq, Syria and Yemen and Arabs specially Saudis think Iranian presence in deep Sunni states a threat, It is little more then religious or sect based hatred actually it is a historical power struggle Persian empire and people never in good relations with Arabs and even the empire conquered by Muslim invading Arabs.

This schism began right after the death of Muhammad PBUH and the struggle for succession, was made wider and deeper after Karbala, and continues to this day. This hatred lays the foundation for everything else that we see today between the two countries and their proxies. It will not be bridged anytime soon, given that the solution requires a fundamental look at religion itself and its role in both countries.

Till end of time their thinking can't change only Allah will tell who is wrong and who is on right path but till then they should at least stop thinking each other as enemy and as per my opinion Iran should stop trying to grow his assets and powers deep inside Sunni states because of that they suspect Iran's intentions since Iran claim many small islands near Arab stats even some full stats.

The main problem is the strategic interests being played in the garb of sectarianism. And offcourse the historical enmity

Deflecting as usual. Do look at Irans relationship with it's neighbors prior to 1979, and then tell this forum why it just went down hill from there?

You are absolutely right, main rift started after the 1979 revolution not only with Arabs but rest of the world, even relations with Pakistan not the same as we have in Shah's time. They tried to grew influence deep in Sunni Arab lands, they started and supported Shia militia in Palestine which prove disaster for not only Palestinian cause but almost destroyed Lebanon and created a state with in state in Lebanon. And know same thing happening in Iraq and Syria.
