Any enemy of China is an enemy of Pakistan: Pakistan Army Chief Gen Raheel Sharif

You are talking about GCHQ and NSA on a topic about china , Pakistan considering any ennemy of one as their ennemy? :o: Whats the link? lool you lost it there bro.

Point of correction(though you are wayyy off topic) our GCHQ and NSA are the ones who have been cooperating together to spy on the world, not NSA spying on GCHQ. Lol Get your facts right my man.:)

Hi,
Not at all.
I was merely pointing out the depth of relationship we share with China like how Uk does with US.

Where UK had to be involved in illegals wars of US.

In the same way how UK is forced by US to share the information of British citizens with NSA.

Britons ARE being spied on by surveillance agencies: GCHQ using phone records and online data gleaned by US government to snoop on citizens | Daily Mail Online

Having said, we are in in much better terms with China.

.
My final thoughts on this are. The definition of enemy is " person who is actively opposed or hostile to someone or something".

Since no country in Asia has declared they are enemy of China and that includes our friend Turkey the statement by COAS has no bearing or of any concern to anybody. The said statement is of only currency to those who declare or are enemies of China. Since all states are in pursuit of peace I can't see the problem in what the COAS said as even the friendly visit by PM Erdogan to Turkey demonstrated. Even brothers can have differances.

From what I know no country is enemy of China and non has stated such.

@atatwolf I have had many discussions with fellow Turks. Most understand we all are prisoners of our geostrategic location and our economies. As friends they understand that we operate within those bounds and try to secure the best options. Not a easy thing to do but those of us who are not super powers we have limited choices.

Pak China relations are strung as ever...

Pak Turkey relations are awesome..

Pak - US telationd are much better and stable compared the past ..

Pak - Japan relations are good as always..

Pak - Iran relations are also good... Joint naval ex,IP,electricity import,Pak-IRAN-Turkey rail link, refinery in Gwadar..

Pak - Rus relations are better than ever... With investment in steel mill,Military exchanges, military exercise's,defence deals.

Pak - Saudi relations are also great with us having military presence in KSA etx etc...

Now the reality itself is a bitch slap to D-B trolls bitchin on PDF

.
Dear troll... The Turkish President visited Pak just yesterday...,

Turkey and Pak have a strategic partnership and a historic alliance that extends to the Khilafat era.. We today are not only economic partners but also defence partners... Pak is also connected to Turkey via rail link to Iran ...

So no fukwit would ever consider Pak considering Turkey an enemy.. A country for which we have sacrificed lives Aswell as wealth... Our bonds are too strong.

Apart from that Turkey is also a trading partner of China.. Apart from that Turkey is also buying SAMs from China...

I know pakistan will stand by its religious/longtime brother Turkey than a far flung non religious close friend if it ever had to make a hard choice.
Afterall, even me if push ever comes to shove, i will always vouch for my own brother than for a best friend. its normal. :)

I just meant pakistans defence chief words were uncalled for, since it involves alot of things/carries great implications. :taz:

.
So Pakistans enemies includes Ughyurs too?

Fi you know we have a lot of Uighurs living in Pak? I'm in RWP .. Here an entire market is run by em... Popularly called "China Market"!

But yes militant groups are our enemy who have ties with TTP and have fought against our troops ...

I know pakistan will stand by its religious/longtime brother Turkey than a far flung non religious close friend if it ever had to make a hard choice.

Lmao... What makes you think China and Turkey are going to war? With a 30 billion trade volume and military partnership it's not even possible... And even if there rises such a situation we will act as mediators ... Just like we helped China open to the world... Specially the US... on the past...

Hi,

Thanks for making it even more easier. The Countries that stand for freedom ( UK, USA) and blames others for not giving that to their own citizens are far worse hypocrite.

Thats shows the level of trust between both :P

Its like If we both are friends, its ok to spy on each other family, household.

Good gracious , we don't share such intimate relationship, where without public approval in so called democracy is fine, and joinging them in illegal wars too :enjoy:

so much love. great bromance.
Hi,

Not in any way comparable to US's an invader of palestine's relationship.

The rock solid, the unshakable as Obama puts it

As all president have said this'' threat to Invaders of Palestine is Threat to US'' along the lines of it, more or less

Ok......what does that change? Can't write facts about the topic so you'll post your pictures. Are these all the Indian members in your picture, repeating the SAME thing like you guys usually do for Indian propaganda???

By the way, you guys look funny in your picture, and VERY clueless, like "we have no sensible response, we look like idiots and without a working head on our shoulders....let's all scream".... "False Flag" in an Indian movie chorus with a chick providing backup tune in a really thin scream like voice and some all-girls like Disco music in the background with a few very sharp electric instrument that sound like the guitar!!!, all hail to the Indian movie like propaganda on pdf!!! By the way, you guys from India, look great in this picture. JUST the way I thought you'd look like in real life :sarcastic::omghaha:

Well argued, however when the most influential person in Pakistan states that any enmity with China would be considered enmity with Pakistan, Japan has to consider this statement very carefully. Now I am not at all advocating Japan is an enemy of China but sadly strategists rarely have the luxury of living in the present and have to shift through all possible future alignments when shaping policy today.

I am all for Japan - Pakistan ties but may be you would deign to concede the statement by Pakistan COAS was ill - considered and ill timed considering Pakistan's strong relationship with Japan and USA and friction b/w these countries and China

Regards

Oh Bhai

you are reading too much. Pakistanis have no issue with far east asian stuff.

Gen Raheel's statement is strictly from our region's perspective. you and some of the other Bahratis are mischievously extrapolating things far far beyond the scope of his words.

Sorry to see.,

.
But Japan is not enemy of China. Ask @Nihonjin1051

@Force-India All that shows Nawaz Sharif's poor English. Nothing big deal about that. By that measure the Chinese Premier's total lack of English makes him what?

Brother, you won't find a single Chinese member here who has a problem with Pakistan-Japan cooperation. Japan is our largest trading partner in Asia for one thing, it would be hypocritical for us to complain about others doing that, when we are doing it ourselves. :P

Secondly it seems the Pakistan Army chief is referring to a "common enemy" for both Pakistan and China, and that obviously doesn't apply to Japan.

.
Another example of Indians making a fuss out of nothing or at least trying their best to do so, but as always miserably failing at it. Yet will claim, they dont care about what Pakistan state. The fact of matter is that as a nation they are infatuated by Pakistan but in denial of it.
And fact of matter is, the statement was directed against India, but feel free to make a fuss out of it .

Everytime i read this

Right, last time I checked command at english have nothing to do with effectiveness as a politician.

omg. now copyrights are Pakistan's enemy as well.

apologies. could resist.

LOL, good one.

To be frank India or me give a rat *** to such type of statement,:lol::lol::lol: It is well known in Indian circle what Pakistan and China are trying to do against India its not a secret. But my point is with which ease the Pakistanis establishment wants to do a lap dance for a particular country, history is litted with example of Americans, Saudi and now Chinese. You won't see these type of statement from any other country including China for Pakistan.

More denial.

Some people won't like me saying this but Pakistan is betting on the wrong horse and even worse... Pakistan is putting all of its eggs in one basket. It is sad to see Pakistan to become a vassal state of China and even more sad to see Pakistani being proud on that. If you see how China is acting towards smaller neighbors it only proofs that China is not "best-friend material". Pakistan is making a big mistake and you will be part of the problem. Nobody will attack China but in the contrary China is more likely to attack their smaller neighbors. If Pakistan get's caught in this you will loose equally as China will. Pakistan should get off the Titanic before it is too late. Sooner than later we will see what is going to happen.
Pakistan relationship with China and Turkey are independent of each other, intact Pakistan is in a unique position to play a very positive role if serious issues arise between two countries. I also understand Turkish public feels strongly about the Ughiyrs issue, so do Chinese. But in this issue Pakistan won't take any sides, thus enabling us to play a far better role if the need arises. The statement was directed against India. One thing more, China is the biggest economic partner of Pakistan, but we are diversifying.

He meant every word of it, in terms of countering India trying to support terrorism and roadblocks in the way of the CPEC project. So this statement was meant for India if you read the thread all the way. Outside of India, Pakistan doesn't have enemies or military presence or even a need to project a power. So Pakistan's military ambitions are always defensive in nature and focused on India.

Whether Pakistanis are emotional fools or not. Their diplomacy is running VERY well. They have very good relationship with the US, the Brists, now coming up is France, obviously great relationship with China, Turkey and Japan, and now with the Russians.....in less then 3 years of the civilian government's time in the office, they have made serious strides in creating new friends and allies across the globe. The results of these new relationships and strengthening of existing relationships are visible through the expanding economy and international investments too.

So, good work Team Pakistan (both Civilian government and the Military), go ahead and take the 12th top economy spot in the next 10-15 years and turn Pakistan into a safe, tolerant, modern and growing economy !!!

This would be enough to make any sensible person to stop arguing but not these particular set of Indians.

:stop::stop::stop: then based on your logic......Pakistan doesn't buy??? That can mean two things. 1): you don't know what you are talking about and can be proven wrong easily.
2): Pakistan is then a lot better in foreign policy and building relationships than India? That they don't buy and use their money or credit, they get investments and partnership assistance......that's much better.

What's better? you spending $ 100 you have on something all the way? Or you spending $ 50 and your partner in trade HAPPILY spending $ 50 with you as they know they'll get better returns on their $ 50??? The $ 50 you saved, can be used in another big project with someone else's $ 50 in partnership. This is GREAT business benefiting many.

I'd take number 2 over number 1 ALL week long and twice on Saturday and Sundays!

LOL, so it proves some how poor Pakistanis are getting better at dealing with the world compared to rich Indians.

I am an American (and VERY American at that) :usflag::usflag:. But I will write the truth. If you read my posts talking about Israel and related issues; you might think I am a Jewish brother.

You got to be fair to the situation, and speak the truth. Nationality has nothing to do with the discussion in hand :enjoy:

Yes, one must try to remain objective and fair as much as possible. You're views are a welcome sight here, I might not agree with everything you might say, but I would support your right to say it. Respect.

Unlike Pakistan, we never really depended so heavily on any country for our survival, both militarily and economically, neither we gifted a piece of our land as a token of our loyalty to any country, nor we allowed any country to come in and run military operations & bombing inside our country, those distinctions go to only Pakistan! :)

Yes indeed, that is why most of the defense procurements were from Russia. I am amazed at the bubble Indians at PDF live in, completely devoid of facts and historic contexts.

The word of Raheel Sharif carries more weight than any keyboard warrior on this forum. I'll just leave it at that.

Now for my opinion.

Pakistan is probably China's most important strategic partner (along with Russia).

Why is Pakistan important?

Because Pakistan offers an entry point into the Arabian Sea.

View attachment 243353

This is the goal of CPEC. This is the reason why we funded and built Gwadar in the first place. Once CPEC is complete, China gets a shortcut into the Arabian Sea and becomes de facto gatekeeper for most of the world's oil supplies.

Fast forward to 2030. China is by far the largest economy on Earth. The PLA is massive and is sitting right next to the Strait of Hormuz...

Chinese are far smarter, they wouldn't want to antagonize other states than India. Chinas posturing in south asia is different when compared to Far east. But the economic corridor is beneficial to both parties and a threat against it is a mutual threat.

Yes, Indian brain can't comprehend that.

Thanks, but no thanks, the last thing we need in this region is another 'police'. China's economic presence in the region is completely welcome, but no military presence, otherwise, there is no difference between U.S and China in trying to be the 'police of the world'. We don't want China to become another U.S.

China is not interested in souring relations with Iran, plus in a region dominated by US military it would act as a counter balance.

Those are paid for, not 'aid'.

Have a look at your size and then have shame comparing yourself to Pakistan, a country seven, yes nearly 7 times smaller in population then India.

All those things you state are also equally applicable to:-

United Kingdom
Japan
South Korea
Germany
Turkey
Philipines
Australia
Saudia Arabia

and the list goes on.

* We did not gift anything. We arrived at a understanding with China with regards to the border. You did not and by default "gifted" all of Aksai Chin to China but in the course got butt slapped and then minus your trousers got thrown out.

Should we have also done the same? No thanks.

We fought for our land, didn't surrender it like cowards. In any case nobody gained anything from that Indo-China war, we were not in control of Aksai Chin and they were not in control of Arunachal Pradesh, and it is like that even today.

Btw, America don't get to bomb those countries freely just for being so called allies. :)

.
The statement made by the General seems to be a mistake, but, not for reasons stated above. It shows multiple things.

1. Foreign policy. Pakistan is yet to develop a foreign policy which is not linked to a bigger power.
2. Statement. The General again shows who is the boss. It makes other countries wary of dealing with the elected PM.
3. Necessity. In diplomacy, which seems to be the domain of the military more than the GoP, you need to commit things only and only if required.
4. Lacks vision. Tomorrow if trouble brews up in the SCS, will Pakistan militarily commit troops?

This is why, it is important, that the senior commanders in the PA are provided with course ware on foreign policy above a certain grade.
