Why not post in English? You have some good points. There are many today who think 1947 was a mistake. But what is done is done, we have to live with what we have and make the best of what we have. Meddling in the affairs of another sovereign state is not acceptable. Unfortunately, India as a state has been involved in meddling using some section of population. It is better for all to think long term consequences and not get used as pawns.

Because people have been trying to imply that he is not Bangali. So him using Bangla was a kind of subtle but strong response towards those people.

It's an ancient game....the sooner ur countrymen understand that, the better.......and every country plays it.
It's about survival of the fittest......there is no world court which will provide u justice in these matters.....u will have to play this game, otherwise u will be taken over.....that's the harsh realities......

Heard about an incident relating him to an extra-marital affair or something like pedophilic activity or both. AGAIN, I only heard it. Don't know if it is true or not. If someone knows more about it, please let us know.

1. He is respected by most regular Sylhetis in Britain. He is seen as knowledgable on Islam and an inspiring speaker.

His admirers include people who generally hate rezakars.

2. People in my family listen to his talks and are upset he may be executed.

3. I can't talk about alleged personal scandals as I have no proof.

However all I will say is there are many people who appear to be great on the surface but are later to be found as something else. This includes politicians and religious figures be they Muslim, Christian, Hindu or Jewish.

You asked for an honest answer, so this is what I know.

However he is disliked by western authorities for anti-Hindu comments which they see as communal.

মিরপুরে নিজ বাসার সামনে নিহত স্থপতি, ব্লগার ও শাহবাগ আন্দোলনের সক্রিয় কর্মী আহমেদ হায়দার রাজীব শোভনের হত্যাকারীদের খুঁজে বের করতে গোয়েন্দা কর্মকর্তারা বিভিন্ন দিক খতিয়ে দেখছেন। এরমধ্যে নিহত রাজীবের চার বান্ধবীকেও সন্দেহের তালিকায় রাখা হয়েছে।

গোয়েন্দা সূত্র জানায়, মোবাইল ফোন ট্র্যাকিং করে ১৩, ১৪ ও ১৫ ফেব্রুয়ারি রাজীবের অবস্থান সম্পর্কে তারা নিশ্চিত হয়েছেন। রাজীবের অবস্থান এবং কাদের সঙ্গে ওই দিনগুলোতে তার কথা হয়েছে সেসব বিষয়কে গুরুত্ব দেয়া হচ্ছে। ৫০-৬০টি মোবাইল নম্বরের ভয়েস রেকর্ড সংগ্রহ করে তা যাচাই-বাছাই করা হচ্ছে বলে সূত্রটি জানিয়েছে।

১৩ ফেব্রুয়ারি দুপুর ২টা থেকে ব্লগার রাজীব শাহবাগে একটানা বেলা ৪টা পর্যন্ত অবস্থান করে। এরপর ৪টা থেকে ৬টা পর্যন্ত সে ছিল ধানমন্ডিতে। সন্ধ্যা ৬টায় সে আবারও শাহবাগে ফিরে এসে রাত ৮টা পর্যন্ত অবস্থান করে পল্লবীর বাসায় ফিরে যায়। পরদিন ১৪ ফেব্রুয়ারি সে শাহবাগে আসেনি।

১৫ ফেব্রুয়ারি শুক্রবার যেদিন রাজীব খুন হয়, সেদিন বেলা ৩টা পর্যন্ত সে পলাশনগরের বাসায় ছিল। এদিন তার ঘনিষ্ঠ বান্ধবী তানজিলা তার সঙ্গে ছিল। ৩টায় বাসা থেকে বের হয়ে বাসার অদূরে বাইশটাকি এলাকায় গিয়ে ৪টায় আবার সে বাসায় ফিরে আসে। সোয়া ৫টা পর্যন্ত সে বাসার আশপাশে ঘোরাফেরা করে। বাসা থেকে বের হয়ে আবারও বাইশটাকি এলাকায় যায়। ওই এলাকায় ১৫ মিনিট অবস্থান করে সাড়ে ৫টায় আবারও বাসায় ফিরে আসে। এর কিছু সময় পরে আবারও বাসা থেকে বের হয়ে মিরপুর ১০ নম্বরে অবস্থান করে। এরপর রাত সাড়ে ৮টার পরে বাসার উদ্দেশ্যে রওনা হয়। এসময় তার সেই ঘনিষ্ঠ বান্ধবী তানজিলা তাকে বাসার গলিতে পৌঁছে দেয়।

রাত ৮টা ৫৮ মিনিটে রাজীব আরেক বান্ধবী রাফির সঙ্গে মোবাইলে কথা বলতে বলতে বাসার সামনে রাস্তায় চলে আসে। রাত ৮টা ৫৯ মিনিট পর্যন্ত সে বান্ধবী রাফির সঙ্গে কথা বলে। সেটাই ছিল ফোনে রাজীবের শেষ কথা বলা। গোয়েন্দারা ধারণা করছে, এরপরই সে হামলার শিকার হয়।

গোয়েন্দা সূত্র জানায়, রাত ৮টা ৪৪ মিনিট থেকে রাজীবের বাসার সামনে তিনটি নতুন মোবাইল নম্বর যুক্ত হয় টাওয়ারের সেল নম্বরে। রাত ৯টা ১৪ মিনিটের পর থেকে সেই তিনটি মোবাইল নম্বর বন্ধ হয়ে যায়। গোয়েন্দারা ওই মোবাইল ফোনগুলোর গ্রাহকদের খুঁজছেন।

সূত্র আরো জানায়, রাত ১০টায় রাজীবের মোবাইলে একটি এসএমএস পাঠায় তানজিলা। এসএমএসটি ছিল- ‘দাদা বাসায় গেছ?’ সেসময় তানজিলার অবস্থান ছিল মিরপুর-২ এলাকায়।

হত্যাকান্ডের পর শুক্রবার রাতে নিহতের মামা খুররম হায়দার জাস্ট নিউজকে জানিয়েছিলেন, ওইদিন বেলা ৩টায় বাসা থেকে বের হয়ে শাহবাগ গিয়েছিল রাজীব। তিনি জানিয়েছিলেন, এটা স্বাধীনতাবিরোধী জামায়াত-শিবিরের লোকেরা রাজীবকে হত্যা করেছে।

গোয়েন্দারা বলছে, রাজীব হত্যাকান্ডের তদন্তে প্রাথমিকভাবে তিনটি বিষয়কে গুরুত্ব দেয়া হচ্ছে। এক. বিভিন্ন ব্লগে যুদ্ধাপরাধ নিয়ে জামায়াত-শিবির ও ধর্মবিরোধী লেখালেখির কারণে মৌলবাদীদের টার্গেটে পরিণত হওয়া, দুই. স্ত্রী আনিকা প্রোজেন বাসন্তীর সঙ্গে সম্পর্কের টানাপড়েন এবং তিন. নারীঘটিত বিষয়। একাধিক বান্ধবীর সঙ্গে সম্পর্ক থাকায় কেউ হয়তো প্রতিশোধ নিতে এমনটি করে থাকতে পারে।

ডিবি পুলিশ এ পর্যন্ত জিজ্ঞাসাবাদের জন্য ৫ জনকে আটক করেছে বলে জানিয়েছেন ডিবির সিনিয়র সহকারী কমিশনার মোহাম্মদ তৌহিদুল ইসলাম। তবে তদন্তের গোপনীয়তার স্বার্থে আটককৃতদের নাম-পরিচয় প্রকাশ করা হচ্ছে না। এদিকে নাম প্রকাশে অনিচ্ছুক এক কর্মকর্তা জানান, আটককৃতদের মধ্যে নিহত রাজীবের দুই বান্ধবীও রয়েছে। উল্লেখ্য, অধিকতর তদন্তের জন্য রাজীব হত্যা মামলাটি পল্লবী থানা থেকে শনিবার রাতে ডিবিতে হস্তান্তর করা হয়।

শুক্রবার রাত নয়টার দিকে রাজধানীর পল্লবীর পলাশনগরের নিজ বাসার সামনে থেকে আহমেদ রাজীব হায়দার শোভনের রক্তাক্ত লাশ উদ্ধার করে পুলিশ। রাজীব শাহবাগ আন্দোলনের একজন সক্রিয়কর্মী ছিল। সে নিয়মিত বিভিন্ন ব্লগে জামায়াত-শিবির ও ইসলামবিরোধী লেখালেখি করতো।
