racism in common in new delh,can't say about whole india but it is very common in delhi.people are even racist with whites and call them monkeys and north east people are the most discriminated people

Not that it was particularly popular before the ban. I've been eating at Chinese restaurants my whole life and I've never seen it served in a mainstream menu, only in special niche restaurants.

So what now, considering that Northeast Indians still continue to eat it?

I guess they would. I am not really sure if the markets are legal or illegal in north east India, but I do think they will eat. As I do think that some Chinese folks might still eat it, atleast in the more rural parts.

In the urban parts I've heard that increasingly Chinese folks are against dog meat, especially since with rising incomes most have started owning pets, and they cant bring themselves to eat dog meat. I've heard as much being said by Chinese common folks interviewed on TV.
