What's new

Another Iranian underground missile depot was revealed

Why do you think US and the Western world wants to make sure Iran never gets a nuke?

US wants middle eastern countries to be weak. Each situation is different. In the 50s, USA helped topple our government and bring back the Shahm was this because our prime minister was developing nukes? In the 80s, it blew up our passengerplane, killing hundreds of innocent civilians. Did it have anything to do with nukes?

.
What are they going to do with ballistic missiles without nukes? They're like a weapon of terror than having much of an impact on careful opposing forces because of less accuracy. A 100-200 meter CEP with conventional munitions isn't really good.
Well KSA already have them too

But if iran did something out of limit we will invade iran

Iran is never been good friend it always supported our enemy india openly we must not loose faithfull KSA for unreliable iran

Furthermore chabhar is also a example if iran goes india weakens

It seems Pakistan is the only country in the world where its politicians are smarter than the average Pakistani.

Pakistan would invade Iran. seriously??

finding these bases is one thing, penetrating 500m into the ground is another!
Taking precautions should be for the worst case scenario. Even if some mad man thinks of preemptive nuclear strike to eliminate the missile potential when you have mobile platforms continously on the move on the land and sea as well as scanning above for incoming ballistic missiles to launch your own salvo they won't dare to do that.

You're an Iranian and I don't want to get into a brawl with a brother. Suffice to say that Pakistan would have ceased to exist a long time ago if we didn't have nukes, and Iran wouldn't have most of the problems that its facing right now if it gives up its nuclear program completely.

it just related to the relationship with US. since iran's regime is enemy to US. if iran would gives up its nuclear progrem, now iran was facing same problems because of another issue like missiles program. or would have the same destination as libya. libya gave up its nuclear program completely.
so if iran would have a good relationship with US. now iran would has nuclear bombs. as iran was getting nukes during shah period but revolution happened.
so doesnt matter what you have now or what you want, doesnt matter you have pure democracy or a brutal dictatorship. it all depends to your relationship with the US and more important, to your effort, talent and intelligence.

Bro you do know its possible to be neutral? Pakistan and India's problems have nothing to do with Iran. We're friendly with India but we also try to be with Pakistan. Just look at the Gas pipeline project.

But it looks like Pakistan doesn't want to be friends with Iran since it isn't doing it's part in the pipeline project and doesn't seem to care about controlling the border in Balochistan.

Nukes, Nukes, Nukes....... that is a never-ending refrain from a certain part of the world!
As if Nukes are the "end all and be-all" of all methods of warfare, totally dumbass...

Dumbo, he is right.

Generally, ballistic missiles aren't an effective weapon of conventional war.

Unless Iran have created missiles with pin-point precision, ballistic missiles wouldn't cause much harm to the enemy forces.

You can't even invade Tajikistan let alone Iran. Saudi regime isn't holy only Mecca and Madina are holy.

Dont mind him. Our stance is neutral and will remain so in the future as well. Why the heck would Pakistan invade Iran in the first place? Iran and Saudis are brewing sectarian voilnce and division so i doubt we will side with either. There is a famous quote which i heard when i was kid

Translation:
There were two birds
Both were eager to fight
In the midst of fighting both lost something
One lost his tail and other lost his beak

I dont know how to translate this quote so that you will understand lol

So the emad is being procured in numbers, now that's interesting.
Also for members talking about how "missiles aren't a deterrent without nukes".
Most countries don't want missiles raining on their heads, in particular accurate ones.
The thing you have to remember. Mental warfare.
Scaring the populous and hitting things (whether it is an apartment block or a factory) has an effect on the war effort.
Slowing production, scaring away tourists (example Lebanon war 2006.the biggest hit to the Israelis wasn't the deaths of Jewish soldiers, it was the fact it wounded the Israeli tourist industry)
Another thing people obsess over regarding WMDs. Everyone talks about "iran nuking america".
Iran doesn't need nukes to make the u.s cry bloody tears.
The two most potent weapons iran has to use on the u.s
1. Closing the strait of Hormuz (even if it were only for 1 or 2 days) would send the world economy into a depression and deny the u.s valuable hydro-carbons that it needs.
2. Iranian agents within the u.s.a. not everyone on this forum may be aware. But both Hezbollah and the IRGC have strike forces in the u.s (I believe president rouhani even admitted it). in the u.s its not hard to procure a gun but its easier to procure chemical weapons components (you can make them out of basic cleaning supplies) and even bioweapons.
Using these in major u.s cities. That's one of the largest deterrents against u.s military action, potential iranian agents launching mass attacks against u.s cities
And possibly nuclear power plants. No nukes needed

The worst estimation I have seen is in wikipedia which states 500m:

Emad (missile) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Iranian side claims 100m. Which is quite reasonable for a guided re-entry system. For example Pershing 2 with radar terminal guidance had a CEP of 30m. That was a 70s era missile. I think Iran's tech to date is at least as good as 70s.

It also depends on the nature of the guidance system. For example if it is an anti-radiation missile, then it can decrease to below 15m.

So what you say may be true.
those estimations with 3+ digits CEP is based on the presumption of using Inertial-sensors-only which has a percentage of error based on the distance.
since we don't announce which guidance systems are mixed in our missiles, nobody can guess the real numbers.
but as the Emad missile test showed, missile hit near a target balloon, in that video, Balloon exploded before the detonation of the missile, so it must have been very very close) I can assume that not only our missiles can hit enemy bases, they are accurate enough to hit even a particular location of that base, though nobody would know the exact CEP till our commanders announce it, yet I'm very positive we can blow Netanyahu's hole in one strike!

Unless Iran have created missiles with pin-point precision, ballistic missiles wouldn't cause much harm to the enemy forces.

This Emad missile is clearly a highly accurate ballistic missile as stated by missile expert such as uzi rubin etc. This is not the first pin point ballistic missile by Iran, although it is the first accurate MRBM.

You come into a thread about Iranian accurate Emad missile in underground base and say "Unless Iran have created missiles with pin-point precision, ballistic missiles wouldn't cause much harm to the enemy forces.". Seriously? How thick can you get?
