You need to take a cue from language development in the sub continent, Sanskrit, an Indo-Iranian branch of Indo-European language (which includes English, German, Lithuanian languages ) . The earliest Indo-Iranian speakers called themselves Aryans, Sanskrit - arya, Avestan /old Persain - airya - from the latter the modern name Iran is derived.

Modern Indian languages such as Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Gujarati , Marathi etc were developed and diversified from the Prakrit introduced by the Aryans.

I don't know why Indians are rejecting their ancestors. The Indians are mulatto of Caucasian looking Aryans and Australoid of Indian subcontinent. They are as much a mulatto as Mexicans are a mixture of Spanish and native Americans.
